our MPs from Western region now want the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to come out and intervene in the case against Deputy President William Ruto and journalist Joshua Sang at the International Criminal Court. The legislators said the Orange party leadership is better placed
to tell the ICC the truth about the 2007/8 post-election violence. The MPs Emmanuel Wangwe (Navakholo), Bernard Shinali (Ikolomani), Malulu Injendi (Malava) and Benjamin Washiali (Mumias East) say Ruto was in ODM at the time and the party should not abandon him. “Leaders who were in ODM are well placed to tell ICC that Ruto
and Sang are innocent people who should be vindicated,� said Wangwe. The leaders said ODM was well placed to inform the court that Kenyans spontaneously went to the streets to protest what they believed was a stolen election and no violence had been planned. CONTINUED ON PAGE 2
