he Council of Deputy Governors now wants the Senate to devise mechanisms to tame ‘rogue’ governors. Speaking in Naivasha, Laikipia Deputy Governor Gitonga Kabugi called on the Senate to expedite the formation of the reconciliation committee that will address the between them and their bosses as well as tame them for ‘high handedness.’ “As deputy governors, we urge the Presidency and the Senate to speed up the process of forming the reconciliation committee to end our troubles with our bosses. We want them tamed,” said Kabugi. He said most of his colleagues have been in turf wars with the county governors because the Constitution has not clear roles and duties for them.
