he Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has reviewed electoral regulations in line with the new laws ahead of the August 8th polls. The Commission said it has revised the electoral regulations to reflect the changes that had been enacted in the new laws after the 2013 General Election. Among the revised laws is the Electoral Campaign Finance Regulations to operationalise the Election Campaign Financing Act which has since been suspended by Parliament. According to the commission, election Campaign Financing Act was developed to operationalise the provisions of the ECF Act by providing mechanisms to regulate the amounts of money that may be spent by a candidate or a political party.
