Educators injured in school accident

Two educators sustained injuries after their vehicle went down an embankment

Brake failure is suspected to be behind a bizarre accident that left two educators injured on Friday last week.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) says the accident happened at Intaphuka Primary School in Ndwedwe, after a vehicle failed to stop at the school's parking lot, and plummeted down a retaining wall.

One of the learners suffered an anxiety attack after witnessing the accident.

“Two females aged 55 & 57 who were in the car sustained moderate injuries. A 10-year-old suffered and anxiety attack after witnessing the incident.

“The three were treated on scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance,” stated RUSA.
