Outlining which three countries I intended to use initially for all varying concepts. I selected England, Spain and Germany as they are currently the most prevalent Leagues, both domestically and in European competition.

To the right I have displayed a map of Brasil as I chose to incorporate the World Cup 2014 as a final concept. To the left, I have constructed a possible method for packaging and narrative theme which caricaturises the maps as mini tickets within a box as opposed to separate large-scale maps.

The perfect scratchmap for the away fan. A fold-up pocket map for the road. This theme centres current Premier League Champions Manchester City and their domestic fixtures for 201415. Easy to-read minimalist style, communicating core yet necessary information.

Locating the major stadium destinations of both La Liga’s historical and contemporary giants. This is tailored to the ‘tourist’ football fanatic who seeks to be visit each teams footballing theatre. The musty tones represent Spain and Gaudi tile-like construction reflects Catalonian architecture.

A world cup spectator’s guide to visiting attending games at the World Cup 2014 in Brasil. A forecast of all games which if attended, generates the ‘I was there factor’, whilst aiding the travel planning for along-term visit.

I began by visiting the typical football objects and associations, merging this with the notion of location and scratching to reveal on a map. The emblematic or crest style is recognisable to anyone as a style within sports and mostly football.

As a spin-off American take on the project with regards to the USA fan base, I decided to extract the eagle/griffin like bird to create an aspirational figure. This is reflective of many basketball, baseball and American football style logos.
