Tour Overview:
Al Ain in Arabic translates literally to the eye or the spring - a charming desert oasis, also known as the Garden City of the Emirates is an hour and half drive away from either Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Al Ain is also the largest inland city in emirates surrounded by the magnificent red sand dunes and over looked by impressive mountains. In the past The Oasis of Alain was a welcome stop on the caravan trail at the foot of the magnificent Hajar Mountains. Today Al Ain boasts of farms of vegetables and date trees and is the home of one the oldest and modern educational institutions in the emirates with the Al Ain University. In our tour to Al Ain we pass by the Hili City famous for green gardens and stop at the largest camel market in the U.A.E. where we see different sizes of camels. We then proceed to the Al Ain Museum next to old fortress before we could take our trip to the most beautiful landscape, Jebel Hafeet - a bird’s eye view from the Jebel Hafeet - the tallest mountain in the U.A.E. At the foot of Jebel Hafeet are hot water springs. The springs are diverted along shallow channels- ideal for bathing the feet in steaming therapeutic waters. After lunch we continue our trip through some local shopping area and enter the land of Oman –Al Buraimi on our way back to Dubai.
