Dear Reader, SPRING HAS SPRUNG! With the bloom of flowers, the whisper of fresher air, the pitterpatter of buzzing bees, "Spring-Break-ers" traveling here and there, and those we know reaffirming "I will have a wonderful day today. It will be better than yesterday.", spring has sprung! This time of year for some of us is the time to revisit, revamp, realign and reaffirm or affirm, our paths for the year. How we make it happen will determine the outcome. For most, spring cleaning of our apartment or home, is on our to do list during this time of year. Let’s see, where to start? Got it. The bedroom closet, kitchen pantry and cupboards. Compiling all tools required to make this happen; must haves include broom, mop, shelf liner paper, and trash bags. Of course while rearranging the areas, especially the closet, we have compartmentalized our cleaning to include items to gift away, items to discard, other items to be re-shelved. This process may take days or weeks, with strategic thinking and planning. Of course, there are breaks and rethinking involved. Should I really get rid of this? I will use that again, why not keep it? Let me see how others are moving forward with their spring cleaning. That’s what I will do… Well, this is the thing, spring cleaning of our external dwelling is always a plus. Moreover, spring cleaning of our internal dwelling will yield a larger plus. As we revisit, revamp, realign our apartments, our homes, our offices, take the time to do the same with our paths for the year. Reaffirming our New Year’s vows, or daily affirmations to self, to family, to friends may help make valuable differences for us all in the long run. Enjoy your read with our publication. Every detail is crafted for your enjoyment, dreams, enlightenment and awareness. Remember, we love our readers...Which means we love you! Affirm to enjoy life, each and every day! SELF MADE MILLIONAIRE

MONEY TIPS Secret Habits Of Self-Made Millionaires: How To Save Money And Achieve Financial Freedom Source: briantracy.com The decisive factor in the achievement of financial freedom is the development of specific habits. Self-made millionaires have already learned these habits and as the result of practice and repetition, have reached financial freedom. You can learn to save money and think like selfmade millionaires to become financially independent yourself. The First Habit of Self-Made Millionaires Perhaps the most easily identifiable habit of selfmade millionaires is the habit of frugality. Wealthy people are careful with every penny and every dollar. They know how to save money and allocate their funds carefully. They never buy new when they can buy used. They never buy if they can lease, and they never lease if they can rent. They never rent or lease if they can borrow. Free Wealth Building Report: The Way to Wealth For example, most self-made millionaires do not buy new cars. They save money and wait until a good quality car is about two years old before they buy it. Even then, they have the car thoroughly checked out by a reputable mechanic. Once they feel confident that it is an excellent buy, in good condition, they buy the car and then they drive it for five or ten years before replacing it. Most new cars drop 20% in value as soon as you drive them off the lot. After two years, many cars have lost 30% – 50% of their value. They are still in excellent condition, and often they are still covered by factory warranties. When you buy good quality used car, you can save many thousands of dollars, all of which can be saved and invested and allowed to grow at 14

compound interest toward your ultimate goal of financial freedom. Self-Made Millionaires Know How to Save Money Self-made millionaires develop the habit of regular saving and investment from an early age. Human beings are creatures of habit. We very quickly adapt to almost any external condition or circumstance. If you save 10% off the top of your paycheck, and discipline yourself to live on the other 90%, you will soon adjust your lifestyle downward slightly so that you are quite comfortable on the lesser amount. In no time at all, living at this level becomes a habit and you stop thinking about it. Many people are deeply in debt and the idea of saving 10% of their income, off the top of each paycheck, is too difficult for them even to consider. In this case, which is quite common, I recommend a gradual process of learning to save money where you begin by saving 1% of your income and living on the other 99%. For example, if you are earning $2000 per month, make a decision today to save $20 per month, or 67 cents per day. You can then live on the other $1,980. Save money in the long run by going down to the bank and open up a separate account, your “financial freedom” account. Money that goes into this account only flows only one way- inward. Once you put money into this savings/investment account, you never, ever take it out or spend it for any reason. It has only one purpose: to enable you to achieve financial freedom as soon as possible. Once you have become comfortable living on 99% of your income, increase your monthly savings

rate to 2% off the top. Within one year, you will find yourself living quite comfortably on 10% of your current income. Continue this process until you are saving 15% and then 20% of your income, off the top. You will not even notice the difference in your standard of living because it will be so gradual. But the difference in your financial life will be absolutely extraordinary. Activate the Law of Attraction for Financial Freedom Here is an extraordinary discovery. When you begin to save money, and you feel positive and happy about your growing account, these positive emotions imbue that money with a form of energy that begins to attract more money into your life, and into that account. Old friends will pay you back debts that you had forgotten a long time ago. You will have opportunities to earn additional amounts of money that had not occurred to you. You will sell things that you had had for a long time that you thought had no value. And as you add these amounts to your account, your account will develop even more positive energy, and attract even larger amounts of money. I had heard about this concept for many years, but I was always broke and there was never anything I could do about it. Then, about two years after I got married and started my own business, I ran out of money. I had been able to buy a house with my lifetime of savings, but now I had to sell the house to get the cash, and then move to a rented house. At this point, my wife Barbara demanded that I turn over to her $10,000 from the proceeds from the sale of the house. After some arguing I gave in. She took the money and deposited it in another bank account to which I did not have access. No matter how many financial problems we had in the months ahead, she refused to even consider the possibility of spending that money. This was her security blanket. The most remarkable thing happened. From that day forward, we were never broke again. Even though it was the midst of a recession and businesses were going bankrupt all around us, we were never again out of money. Every week, every month, business came in, the bills were paid, and opportunities opened up and exciting possibilities seemed to be attracted into our lives. Within a couple of years, we were able to move out of the rented house and buy a beautiful new home in a lovely neighborhood. Two years later, we were able to buy a home that cost five times as much on a

beautiful golf course, overlooking two lakes with the ocean in the distance. Save Money and Love It There is an especially special habit that selfmade millionaires and financially successful people learn or develop over time. It is the habit of responding to incoming money in a particular way. When we are growing up, we are encouraged to save money from our allowances. However, as children, we look upon money as a tool with which to buy candy, toys and other things that make us happy. As a result, we naturally begin to look upon saving as a punishment, something that hurts us and deprives us of the candy, toys and enjoyable things we desire. At an early age, most people begin to associate savings with pain, with sacrifice, with loss of pleasure, satisfaction and happiness. As adults, this negative habit is manifested in our desire to spend money as soon as we make it. Many people in their late teens and twenties look upon every paycheck as an opportunity to go out and spend as much money as they can. This is why it is generally known in the restaurant business that they will be the fullest at the middle and at the end of the month, on paydays. People very early begin to associate spending with happiness and saving with pain. Since the basic human motivation is to move away from pain toward pleasure, from discomfort toward comfort, and from dissatisfaction toward satisfaction, most people develop the habit of associating spending with enjoyment and saving with unhappiness. Rewire Your Thinking and Gain Financial Freedom Your job is to reverse the wiring on this habit. It is to detach the wires from one set of attitudes and reattach them with a different set of attitudes. Your job is to begin thinking in terms of pleasure whenever you think of saving and accumulation, and pain whenever you think of spending and getting rid of your money. Developing habits of self-made millionaires is the clear cut way to gaining financial freedom in your life.

LE GRAND BLEU

Le Grand Bleu is one of the largest private yachts in the world at 113 m (371 ft) in length. She was built at the Bremer Vulkan yard in Bremen, Germany, and was launched in 2000. She was designed by Stefano Pastrovich and constructed by Kusch Yachts.[2] She was previously owned by John McCaw, Jr., an American businessman, who sold her to Russian businessman Roman Abramovich in 2002. Abramovich had her refitted to his own preferences by HDW in Kiel, Germany. This included an internal refit and the addition of a 16-foot (4.9 m) swim platform. In June 2006, Abramovich gave Le Grand Bleu to her current owner, friend and business partner Eugene Shvidler. Le Grand Bleu is powered by two 4,570 bhp Deutz engines. Details about the interiors are scanty as Abramovich is protective of his family's privacy and highly security-conscious, but they were designed by Terence Disdale. Source: Wikipedia

⏐ YM EXCLUSIVE ⏐ KARYN WHITE Karyn White has released her fourth Album entitled “Carpe Diem”. It was released in March 24, 2012, with the lead single being "Sista Sista". It also featured a cover of Cyndi Lauper’s number-one hit song "True Colors". It is her first album in seventeen years. The soulful Ms. Karyn White discusses life before and after her comeback with Yahweh Magazine. YM: We will be having a Sister's Talk with the Queen who has truly been through the storm, trials and tribulations. Which clearly makes her a superwoman. She has a sultry voice, smooth as silk, which will bring the tears of joy to the hardest of hearts. I'm talking about none other than the great Karyn White. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to entertain us this evening KW: Oh it's my pleasure, and I love the way you put together all the titles of my song as you made your introduction. You just named about 9 different songs of mine. So that was really cool. YM: Being gone for 17 years, how does it feel to come back and know that your fans still love you? KW: Wow it's a blessing. Anytime you do something, you want to be appreciated for it, but I don't take it for granted especially in the entertainment industry. I don't think we really appreciate our legends like we should. The music industry it applauds people from today, as opposed to yesterday. So, I'm being received very well, and I'm thankful and grateful. YM: Yes you are. We actually met last week, and we embraced each other, and you are loving, caring, and very approachable. I do want to thank you for that, because as a result of that we are here to day. So again, I do want to thank you for embracing me and allowing me to do a cover story of you for our Yahweh Magazine. I understand you are doing a reality show. What is the reality show about? KW: Well it's called Married to God. It’s about different women from different walks of life. Some are in the entertainment industry, CEO'S, heads, attorney's etc. I would call them renaissance women that love the lord, and still keep their faith. It shows how you can do that and still be successful. We haven’t actually started shooting yet. Everyone needs to see it. I think it's a great concept. Especially knowing the struggles that most women go thru, especially when one is successful in the entertainment industry. There's a lot of temptation. I say pride probably being the number 1 temptation. You have so many people that edify you. You know before pride cometh the fall. It's very important that you understand it's a gift. How do you deal, how do you strengthen yourself, how do you deal with all these issues? So that's pretty much the concept of married to God. YM: Beautiful, it sounds great! Your music is so soothing. Very Jazzy. Very sultry. You haven't aged at all. You still look the same as you did 17 years ago. How do you manage to keep yourself up? You look fantastic!

KW: Thank you I know it sounds corny, but I believe that it comes from the inside out. The fact that I've been really walking with the Lord and my spirit is humble. I really understand what life is about. When you don't have that bitterness and that un-forgiveness that eats away at your heart and who you are, that's the biggest thing. Being happy and disciplined. Being a disciple you want to be disciplined. I try to eat right and be healthy. I also have a trick that I was taught by an esthetician that involves putting ice on your face. So I put ice on my face twice a day after I wash my makeup off. it's a really great secret. It shocks your face and tightens your pores. It keeps your skin tight. YM: Ok wonderful. Thank you for that. Are you still working with LA Reid? What producers are you working with? KW: Yeah I have a whole new team. I’m working with Derrick Allen from Sacramento. Actually he has a number one song right now with Anita Baker. “Have I told you I loved you lately?” Actually he produced my whole album. A lot of underdogs. For now I’ve been very fortunate. I’ve worked with some of the greatest. My ex husband, Terri Lewis, Jimmy Jam, Baby Face and Dean Medina. I’ve worked with some incredible people. I know talent, and I’m a talent finder. I’m just excited to represent people that I believe should be the next guy. Someone has to give them a chance. YM: Is it easy working with Derrick Allen? KW: Oh yes, he’s incredible. That’s why he did the whole album. We started back; he was in my band back in the day. And you know he was Bobby Brown’s tour director back in the day. He just developed into an awesome producer. I’m not afraid to take a chance with people. He’s just an incredible musician. It has a live feel but yet it’s contemporary. YM: Are you releasing the album under your own label? KW: Yeah! I just did a distribution deal with EMI. Karyn White Enterprises with EMI as my distributor. I’m seizing the day in every way. Coming back I was turned down by record companies. They didn’t know if people still remembered me. That’s why this really means so much to me. We didn’t stop. We did it. Right now we’re number 48 on the charts. We’re competing as a small independent company. I’m just excited to not just put my album in a record company’s hands, I’m doing it myself and I believe in myself. I think the internet has opened up doors to where artists and entrepreneurs can really have a say so and drive their own careers. As long as you are

willing to do the hard work. Now I’m telling them that I’m just going to show them and “I’ll see you guys at the top.” I’m not going to stop. I’m seizing the day. YM: That is so awesome. I can tell that you have one hundred percent in yourself. So you’re taking advantage of this brave new world now with the Internet and the way technology is moving? KW: Oh yeah, social media. It’s so cool. In the record business, only 1% really make it. Just because you’re with a record company doesn’t mean you’re going to be successful. There are a lot of people who have a label deal, but you never hear of them. I’m just excited where the world is today. They’re doing it themselves. They are learning how to do business. They aren’t waiting for somebody to say they’ll sign you. Artists are saying “We are going to go out here and do it.” It requires so much faith. It’s a really hard gig. You have to keep believing even when it looks like it’s not going to happen. Your almost there and you should never quit. If you quit, it will never happen. Just hang in there. You have to go after your dreams. There is no choice. If you quit, you’ll never know. I’m just going ahead.

YM: That is wonderful. So, you are digging up your other talents. KW: Everything really! It’s a trip coming back and being older and having the wisdom. When you are young you have your youth, but when you have wisdom, it’s just a whole other level. I’m seizing the day with everything. My acting, my interior designs, record label, and a licensing company that I’m starting. I’m going to do it. I’m going for it all. YM: Are you managing yourself? Or do you have a manager? KW: Oh! My manager is the incredible Jay King. From Sacramento as well. He started a group called Club Nuvo. He had great independent success. He’s my manager. He also has his own network on blog talk radio. It’s just a big family. I’m proud of him. He has 20 jobs and it just inspires me. He has a music industry show for any one interested in being in the business. Monday and Wednesday 7-9 on blog talk radio just type in Jay King. All our contacts are there. YM: We thank very much for you talking with us Ms. Karyn White. KW: It was a pleasure. Thank you.

Eddie Levert of

⎜ YAHWEHMAGAZINE.COM

The O’Jays

⏐ YM EXCLUSIVE ⏐ EDDIE LEVERT YM seized the opportunity to sit down with the often imitated never duplicated Mr. Eddie Levert. Here is what he told us:

Tell us who was Eddie Levert before the fame? Just a regular kid around the neighborhood that was trying to find his way and getting in trouble. You know, one of those, go to the YMCA, go to the Urban League, go the park. Go swimming in the public pool, swim all day long, loved to swim. Then when I turned around 12 or 13 I got to a place where I thought I could write songs, so I started writing songs. I started singing them by accident, just by going to school and getting with the guys and we harmonized them in the hallway. Because they had big ceilings in the hallway, you had to sort of an echo. It was really a period in life that I finally found something that I really liked to do and that I wanted to really say this is something I'm going to try to do for the rest of my life and that was when I discovered singing. You know, I have always sung since the time I was 5 or 6 years old I can remember singing. I always sing but never quite believing that it could be a career for myself. Once I started writing songs, I started believing and other people started hearing me sing and they would tell me how good I was. I started believing that maybe I had a chance in show business. That's basically who I was, I loved swimming, I loved to sing. I was very active in the swimming pool, I always wanted to be something, something that made money. It was always that I wanted to be a doctor, I wanted to be an attorney. I wanted to be prosperous. Most of the jobs that paid the most money required a lot of time invested. Being in show business made it seem like, it's quicker and faster, but that's not true, it's not true. We know you were a great swimmer, I bet you wanted to go to the Olympics? I really thought I could but it's like with anything, you've got to spend the time, you've got to cultivate it. You've got to embrace it and you've got to live it, breath it, train it, practice. Dedicate

yourself to it. There's no other way to get it unless you do those things. Absolutely. Absolutely Mr. Levert. Who is Eddie Levert now? I still think he's still growing. I don't think you ever get too old to learn. There's always a day I go through which I learn something I didn't know previously and it can be real simple. It can be a way to prepare your toast a different way, to a way to back your car out of the garage a little bit better. You know what I'm saying? You learn something every day, that means that you're still evolving, you're still alive. I think being alive is being able to draw on and to find things that are new and different for you and, and that you've learned something completely different. I think that's a part of life, so the guy that Eddie Levert is now— I've learned a lot of things and I've tried to correct some of those things that I thought were wrong. In doing that, I think I've become a better person— a better human being more so than anything, and that's what I really wanted to accomplish. Being a better human being. Being a better father and better husband. A better friend, a better business person. You're constantly striving for these things so it's an everyday, it's a catch 22, it's never ending. Those are some wise words Mr. Levert, thank you so much for sharing. Who inspired you to want to pursue a singing career? So many great people, I really took my style of singing from an opera singer, his name was Murray Alonza. He was a great tenor opera singer. What I loved about him was the way that he was able to hold the note and to make you feel it from inside out, and I tried to emulate that in my presentation of the way I sing R&B music. I think it helped me, I created my own style out of that. You know, you got a lot of people who try to sound like me. But I'm the originator. YAHWEHMAGAZINE.COM ⎜33

⏐ YM EXCLUSIVE ⏐ EDDIE LEVERT That’s right. Do you play any instruments? Yes, I play a little bit of piano and I just in the last month or so picked up the guitar. Which I've written a couple of songs off of the guitar already. It doesn't make it easy though, it's not an easy instrument, it's very hard. It's been an adventure, that's why I'm saying you always open to learn something new. It's been a adventure trying to learn how to play the guitar and anybody that plays that instrument has to truly love it because holding those strings like that, it hurts the tips of your fingers until they get accustomed to it. You almost get callouses on your fingers. Now I want to do songs that people will be able to use and for inspiration, to give them a little bit more courage, to give them a little bit more understanding, to give them a little bit more hope. It would be inspirational, you know with gospel, that is my roots though. It's only natural that I should go back there. Yes, you're absolutely right. You just about answered my next question, who or what is the inspiration for all the songs you have composed? Well, you know, if you're writer all things come from God. Your first thought is to write something that has a spirit to it and all of that comes from God and the soul. I'd have to say all of my inspiration, writing, comes from the Creator and then you take it and you try to say well, I need to not be so gospel-like, I need to not be so jazzy, I need to not be so hip hopish. I need to be not so R&B, I need to find a fine line and stay there, that will give me some sense of creative new style. Yes sir, Mr. Levert. Well how many awards have you won over the years and what are those awards? I never count them. We've won the American Music Award, we've won the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Image Award. The Quincy Jones Award, the Achievement Award from, I think it's BET and then the R&B Group of the Year Award. Been nominated for the Grammy's 7 times, at least 6 or 7 times. Have yet to win because we were always categorized for being band or group, so we always ended up with 34

⎜ YAHWEHMAGAZINE.COM

heavy competition. Still counting, I got a whole bookcase full of stuff and as I look at them I don't know what they were for. No really, you look at them and then you say, I wonder what that was for because I don't spend much time in this part of the house. I'm in my library, I got a lot of stuff on the wall. The vocal group, the hall of fame, all of them. We won a lot of them. People have disposed of them in any kind of way they could. It is a symbol of achievement, at least I can see some of the signs of some of the things that I've done. That is, that's a great feeling. But now the feeling is that now I want to do a little bit more, I want now be able to help mankind or humankind or try to be an asset to the world. You're already that. You know, unless people show you that it's hard to believe at times. It's like so many of us in R&B music, we write the music and we become the heroes for the day and then it's like the longer you stay the quicker they're trying to throw you away. In the same interim you become, being in R&B music is not like being part of the pop circle or the country western circle. Because they have a tendency to keep their artists in the pop circle on a certain level. In the country they keep their artists at a certain level and, in fact they never get too old in the country music thing. It's the same way as far as actors is concerned, they never get too old as far as acting is concerned. But in R&B you seem to get to that place where your age now determines what kind of crowd you can play for, who you can play and who's going to buy your tickets and who's going to buy your records. It's a shame that it's came to that but that's what it is. You still have some very talented people out there that don't, you can't even hear of the no more because they can't go out and make a living. Because they no longer want to pay them, where they can go and do the dates and still put on a great performance.

www.EddieWLevert.com

⏐ YM EXCLUSIVE ⏐ EDDIE LEVERT Okay, where on the planet is your favorite place to perform? I've had some really, really great moments down in Cincinnati at the Jazz Festival that they have down there every year. A really great event and I really, I really love playing Madison Square Garden in New York. Once those people up there find a love for you, you're in good stead. What songs are the most requested by your fans? My goodness, "Love Train". They like "Family Reunion", the like "For Love of Money”. They love "She Used to be My Girl". Nothing but hits. Yeah, well, right. All you wrote was hits, hit maker. All right, so what projects are you working on now Mr. Eddie Levert? Right now just trying to get the Eddie Levert, that "I Make You Go Ooh" album, prepared for release. Which will be June 24 and so we're getting all of that, the hype done for TV and whatever radio. We're trying to get all of them promotions going and then that's when they'll be able to go to the Walmart's and the Best Buy's and all of that and be able to buy a hard copies out of the stores. Yes, I like the title of that album. Sounds good. Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years? Probably still on the road, still on the road. I don't really see myself retiring, I don't know whether I even slow down. Because it's whatever the body needs me, that's what I'm going to be working with. Where ever it leads me, wherever the music takes me and wherever my fans want to go. Because I love all kind of music and so, I'll be trying different stuff and trying to do different things as far as recording is concerned. Wherever the music leads me, that's where I'm going. ⏐ YM EXCLUSIVE ⏐ DR. CHERILYN LEE YM Exclusive: Dr. Cherilyn Lee, Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, R.N., N.P., C.N.H.P., Ph.D., Certified Bio Meridian Practitioner Dr. Lee: I just want to thank you so much. It’s truly a blessing to be here today. Thank you so very much for this opportunity. YM: Yes ma’am. And I want to thank you for joining us. I want to thank you once again for sharing this time with us, but before we go over anything else, Dr. Lee, I just want you to tell us a little bit about your book. The book is something that you’ve been working on for a little while from what I understand. Also, the title itself is “Written Before I was Born?” Dr. Lee: Yes. YM: Will you tell us a little bit about the book and how you came up with the title? Dr. Lee: Well, I’ve been working on this book for actually a long time. What happened was that it didn’t start off with the title that it has now. The title initially was “Detox the Mind and the Body Will Heal.” Now it has become a chapter in the book, “Written Before I Was Born.” The way I came about that is based really on one of my daughters and several others. YM: Is this what inspired you to write the book? Dr. Lee: What inspired me to write a book was that so many things were going on in my life. I have been in 2 comas in the past. In one of my comas I had an outer body experience where I was placed in a cloud, and God ministered to me the 4 days I was in the coma. This coma happened in 1992. And, it was the things being revealed to me during that time. So many things had been revealed that “Written Before I Was Born,” is basically our lives. God Yahweh has put things in our life, and we have things that are actually coded and designed. A lot of times we don’t understand our journey, but it was pre-ordained by God. It was pre-ordained by Yahweh before we even came through our mother’s womb. So this is why I accepted my challenge and the things I’ve gone through in life have been a truly wonderful journey. I wouldn’t take any of it back and I wouldn’t change anything because I would not be the person I am today. YM: Yes. Now Dr. Lee, after you came out of this coma, did you discover that you were a different person? Dr. Lee: Well, after I came out of the coma, yes I did. I’ve had several experiences, but after I came out of this particular coma, even in my training as an RN, as a physician assistant, and all the training I’ve had in the past, prior to the coma I did not want to work in death and dying. Never. That’s one component of my life that I did not fear after this experience. I don’t fear death that way. Now I’m able to work with other people. As soon as I went back to work, I got more and more calls from people telling me their loved ones were sent home with 3 or 4 months to live. I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you’re not going anywhere until it is God’s time. We need to enjoy each moment and do not look back in the past because the past is destroying a lot of people. You let the past stay where it is. If God wanted you to see behind you all the time,

he would have put some eyes in the back of our head. But the thing is that we have to learn to enjoy the moment. I’m so sorry I did not acknowledge Yahweh Ben Yahweh. Thank you again for being on this call here. I am just honored. I’m sorry I didn’t give you the acknowledgment before I started speaking. Part of the book is how to grow and glow, and move forward after a divorce. A lot of people are having a lot of problems with that. I see a lot of cancers because people just can’t forget. The book actually goes into forgiveness and how your thoughts are so powerful. Your feelings are so powerful and so many people are governed by their feelings. What I felt in that coma was so powerful. We have to not let our feelings guide our emotions. YM: That’s right! You’re exactly right! I also wanted to ask, Dr. Lee, being in that state of consciousness when you were in the coma, did you feel that God Yahweh was leading you and telling you that you had to come back because you have work to do? Dr. Lee: Most definitely. I was moving forward, it was like you have work to do. You cannot stay. YM: Yes. Everyone knows you as Michael Jackson’s nurse. You have touched a lot of lives, and a lot of people know you just by your name. How does that make you feel that once the book is released of course people are going to buy this book because they want to know your thoughts? They want to know what you are going through. What you have gone through and how you can help them. How does that make you feel? Dr. Lee: Well actually, like I said, this is a whole journey of my life. It really gives me such honor because this is what I do with patients on a daily basis. It gives me great honor and I am so grateful that Yahweh has given this to me to help others. I think that if I had not had the experience that I had, I would not feel so humble about working with other people. It doesn’t matter if the person is an entertainer. I’ve worked with people from South Central to Beverly Hills. I see myself known because of doing a deed to help someone. I have helped someone who was very loving to so many people. I’ve met so many patients that said how loving he was and they would not even be here had it not been for him. YM: That’s a side that a lot of society does not know. They don’t know that side of him (Michael Jackson). Dr. Lee: These people have approached me and thanked me for helping him. They thanked me for standing up for him. I did it because I know it was the right thing to do. It became extremely complex, but in essence, it has opened the door because I know he (Michael Jackson) and I had many conversations. One was how he wanted to open up a hospital for children. He loved to help people and help people heal. He would tell me, “I do with my music what you do in your clinic.” This is one reason why the notoriety helped me to reach more people. I don’t feel that a person should have to suffer. After the journeys I’ve been through in life, 2 comas, and schedules to have my legs amputated, and you name it. I’m not suffering now -- I feel absolutely wonderful.

⏐ YM EXCLUSIVE ⏐ DR. CHERILYN LEE I’m constantly on the go and constantly helping other people. Actually I can put myself back in that position of when I was in a coma and was at my peak of peace, and I can feel that presence. In the middle of a storm, that’s what keeps me centered. Now, I work with people and teach them how to do that without going through any sicknesses. We are in a world now where there is so much turmoil. The one thing I tell people is to stay away from all of the news. I mean if you want to know what is going on stay current. But don’t sit there for hours and hours listening to the news all day. Try to balance it out with things that are happy. Things that are going to make you happy and things that will make you laugh, because that in itself is amazing. It’s amazing because of what it does to your body. If you’re constantly in a state of stress and anxiety, unhappiness, forgiveness, anger, jealousy you are not going to be able to move on. As a matter of fact, your body is going to become very acidic. People always ask me about acid alkaline diets and I tell them, “If you don’t detox your mind of negative thought patterns, you can take all of the wonderful alkaline products, go on an alkaline diet, but your body is going to stay acidic. YM: Yes. And it’s interesting that you say that because Yahweh teaches us to cleanse our mind and to control our thoughts. So it’s very important that we control our thoughts, control our eating habits, and just be cautious of what it is we do on a day to day basis. You need to graduate every day! Dr. Lee: The teaching of Yahweh is my life. This is who I am. To be loved, you have to be loving. YM: Yes. You know and I wanted to ask you what made you do an audio instead of a hard back? I’m just curious. Dr. Lee: I decided to do an audio because I talk to people so much, number one. And secondly, a lot of times, when people are sick late at night, I have them to call me. They know that they can call me. So I decided to do an audio because people sometimes need to hear the voice. I can say, “Tell your best friend you love them” or you can say, “I love you.” You can read it, but to hear it has a different meaning. YM: I prefer audio. I’m just curious. And for the listening audience as well, you can listen to it in the car. You can be around the house cleaning up. I prefer audio so yes I can understand where you are coming from. Dr. Lee: Through the trial last year is when I really decided I was going to definitely go audio. My prayer was that I wanted people to understand what a person goes through with chronic insomnia. And I asked God to please let people hear through me what Michael was going through. I had several calls on my phone, that different judges and some commentaries and people made a comment and stated, “It seems as though Michael was speaking through her.” And that was my prayer. So, I’m just very grateful to be on this planet at this point in time. I’m so grateful to God. I’m so grateful to Yahweh for having this opportunity to even share. My prayers got worked right through me so that I could be a vessel, so that I could be a blessing for others. YM: So the title, “Written Before I was Born” is about your life path that you chose which Yahweh already had for you. 40

Dr. Lee: Yes. YM: Yahweh definitely has plans for you! He has a plan for all of us. You’re in the position and in the limelight to where you can tell your story and testimony! Dr. Lee: Yes. I wanted to say this very quickly. There is a chapter in my book which has to do with PE. And PE is not (physical exam) or (physical education). I’ve had 2 pulmonary embolisms which are abbreviated as PE. And right now, as we speak, we have an epidemic of blood clots and pulmonary embolisms. Every component of that condition deals with the emotional and the physical, there are environmental issues too. We deal with the environmental component of it, but what was going on emotionally around the people? Now, there is a person in the media right now who claims that they have a pulmonary embolism or they have a blood clot. People are not talking about it and people are not even aware that it is an epidemic. Now that is part of my book and there are things you can do to prevent it. So this is truly a healing book. YM: Yes it is. And we’re looking for this book to be a bestseller! I’m just going to put it out there. Once again Queen, I want to thank you for taking the time out with me and the family. I just wanted to say I thank you, and I love you, and if you need anything you can always reach out to the family. Dr. Lee: Wonderful. Thank you so very much. Again I’m so grateful and honored to have had this interview. I’m so humbly grateful. Thank you Yahweh. I feel that my divine purpose in life is to be all that I can be. To, number one, be the best mother, grandmother (because I have children, sisters and brothers) that I can be. And to be the best god-like person I can be, to let my light shine to bring people in. My true desire is to help people to heal. I don’t care what the condition or the title is. I want to help them to heal. That is my number one. And in all cases medication is not needed. That is my number one purpose in life, besides being the greatest mom to my own children you know? Because they’re my children they feel that I put them last. But my purpose is to be a healer, to help people to heal at every level. And I work with people throughout the world. I’m doing that as it is, but my purpose I feel is to help people through them seeing who I am and seeing my light as to who I am and praying that God Yahweh helps them to change their lives. YM: Praise Yahweh. Beautiful, I’m loving it. Well beautiful Yahweh Dr. Cherilyn Lee thank you again for sharing your time with us. I’m looking forward to that book. It sounds like it is going to have a lot of powerful information composed in it. And I’m sure it’s going to help anyone who has the opportunity to set their eyes on that book and feast on it. Thank you for everything you have shared with us and continue to let your light shine beautiful Queen Yahweh. We embrace you. We love you. Dr. Lee: Thank you Yahweh.

FIRST CLASS Which yacht is right for you? Many factors contribute to the selection of a yacht. At the root of any sound yacht purchase decision is the core performance factors that are essential to consider long before you review interior decoration or layout. • • • • • • •

Motor or Sailing yacht High speed performance, Semi-planing hull shape or slow full-displacement? Size restrictions: Will you need access to a location with draft, beam, length or height restrictions? Does the dock behind your home have X feet available water or a fixed bridge limiting access to yacht with an air draft of less than Y feet? Guest carriage requirements: Number of guests cruising onboard and sleeping onboard? Maintenance issues: Are parts readily available in the intended cruising areas? Crew: Will the yacht accommodate a suitable number of crew to match your service expectations? Range: Where in the world do you wish to travel? If those ports are not serviced by a yacht transport service then the yacht will need to have an ocean passage making range and hull shape.

Full-displacement vs. Semi-displacement? The pros and cons of semi-displacement compared to full-displacement are:

Semi-Displacement

Full-Displacement

Speed

18-25 knot cruising speed

10-12 knot cruising speed

Fuel Consumption

Very high fuel consumption. Often four to six times the fuel consumption of a similar sized full displacement yacht.

Fuel efficient when compared with a semi-displacement.

Transatlantic passages

Not self powered, but possible using yacht transportation at a cost of $850-$1,200 per foot each way.

Capable of self powered transatlantic passages. Costs range from $250 to $600 per foot depending upon crew size and engine size.

Engine Maintenance

Specialist engineering. High powered engines require more maintenance from outside companies and specialists.

Lower power rating and crew engineers should be capable of maintaining 95% of all engineering needs.

Stability / Comfort

Hard/fast roll due to hard chine hull shape.

Slow roll. Generally more comfortable at anchor.

Volume

When designed initially for speed semi-displacement models generally have shallower draft and less interior volume than full-displacement models of the same length.

Volume considerations have less impact on performance so hull shapes generally contain more interior volume than the similar length in semi-displacement.

Noise

Generally louder interiors whilst underway due to desire to reduce weight in construction and larger engines and faster water movement.

No restriction on build weight allows full implementation of noise attenuation. (not all manufacturers employ the necessary construction to minimize noise). Source: The Luxury Yacht Group

Following successful survey and sea trial the buyer submits written acceptance of the vessel. From this point onwards the 10% deposit paid is at risk should the buyer not close the sale at the agreed upon closing date. It is very normal for deficiencies found during survey to be included in a conditional acceptance that gives the seller time to make repairs or allow a financial allowance for the buyer to make repairs after the closing. HOWARD HEWETT

⎜ YAHWEHMAGAZINE.COM

⏐ YM EXCLUSIVE ⏐ HOWARD HEWETT YM SAT DOWN WITH R&B SINGER HOWARD HEWETT FOR A ONE ON ONE INTERVIEW.

YM: We are live with the legendary Howard Hewett. All the top producers in the country and people who love music know you. Fill our readers in a little bit. HH: I've been singing since I was 10 years old, this is all I've ever done. I first got on here to LA in '76, put a group together 6 or 7 months or so, then I got the offer to join Shalamar. It was an honor I got the offer to join the group on a Friday and then Monday I was in front of the TV camera. From that point on it was just one hit after the other with the group you know, Make That Move, A Night To Remember, For The Lover In You, all that stuff. In '85 I started doing my soul thing. YM: You've recorded some of the greatest, well in the same background. HH: I became friends with Stanley Clarke, legendary bass player, we had the same accountant at the time, and our accountant introduced us. Stanley then introduced me to George Duke, and the three of us then became friends. It always seemed like I would always kind of gravitate towards the Jazz guys like, Brian Culbertson, Joe Sample, Gerald Albright, and all those people, with female artists Anita Baker, Dionne Warwick, a lot of different people. YM: What is it like performing overseas? HH: I do shows overseas. Over there people are really, really into the history of stuff. There's been a couple of times people come to the show, I do autographs after, and they bring me a CD of stuff that I have done, and there's things on there sometimes I forgot I even did them. YM: You mentioned at 10 years old, was that the age when you first realized that you can sing?

and I could hold a note, then she put together the Hewett singers and literally kicked me out on the stage. YM: What has been one of the keys to your longevity in the business? HH: Majority of the people out there, they listen to music and chronologize their lives according to what was happening, at the time that the music came out. When you have the honor to become the soundtrack of somebody's life, that's something you take very, very seriously, something that you respect. The best way to kill that whole thing off is to be rude to somebody when you're out there in public, because they literally are the reason why you're doing what you're doing, because it's not guaranteed, none of this was guaranteed. YM: Is there a difference now between being on the road back then and being on the road now? HH: Big difference now, back then you chase it, back then that's what I was doing, I was building that foundation. We were on the road sometimes eight, ten months out of the year. It was cool because the day that, "oh man, we just got out of the road did a tour," I say, "that's cool, we're here three weeks," three weeks, I believe that's an outing. YM: How would you describe your show? HH: Energetic, romantic, nostalgic, and just fun.

HH: It was my mom. She was a professor, a gospel promoter, once she found out my sisters

MIND POWER Do You Believe in Magic? Excerpt from “The Magic” (The Secret Book 3) by Rhonda Byrne Remember when you were a child and you looked at life in total wonder and awe? Life was magical and exciting, and the smallest things were utterly thrilling to you. You were fascinated by the frost on the grass, a butterfly flittering through the air, or any strange leaf or rock on the ground. You were full of excitement when you lost a tooth, because it meant the Tooth Fairy would be coming that night, and you would count down the days to that magical night of Christmas! Even though you had no idea how Santa Claus could get to every child in the world in one night, somehow he did it, and he never let you down. Reindeer could fly, there were fairies in the garden, pets were like people, toys had personalities, dreams came true, and you could touch the stars. Your heart was full of joy, your imagination knew no limits, and you believed that life was magical! There is an exquisite feeling many of us had as children, that everything is good, that every day promises more excitement and adventure, and that nothing could ever thwart our joy for the magic of it all. But somehow as we grew into adults, responsibilities, problems, and difficulties took their toll on us, we became disillusioned, and the magic we once believed in as children faded and disappeared. It’s one of the reasons why as adults we love to be around children, so that we can experience that feeling we once had, even if it’s just for a moment. I am here to tell you that the magic you once believed in is true, and it’s the disillusioned adult perspective of life that is false. The magic of life is real – and it’s as real as you are. In fact, life can be far more wondrous than you ever thought it was as a child, and more breathtaking, awe-inspiring, and exciting than anything you’ve seen

before. When you know what to do to bring forth the magic, you will live the life of your dreams. Then, you will wonder how you ever could have given up in believing in the magic of life! You may not see reindeer fly, but you will see the things you’ve always wanted appearing before your eyes, and you will see the things you’ve dreamed of for so long suddenly happening. You will never know exactly how everything weaved together for your dreams to come true, because magic works in the invisible realm – and that’s the most thrilling part! Are you ready to experience the magic again? Are you ready to be filled with awe and wonder every day like when you were a child? Get ready for the magic! Our adventure begins two thousand years ago, when lifechanging knowledge was hidden within a sacred text. It’s Universal Law Gratitude operates through a Universal law that governs your whole life. According to the law of attraction, which governs all the energy in our Universe, from the formation of an atom to the movement of the planets, “like attracts like.” It’s because of the law of attraction that the cells of every living creature are held together, as well as the substance of every material object. In your life, the law operates on your thoughts and feelings, because they are energy too, and so whatever you think, whatever you feel, you attract to you. If you think, “I don’t like my job,” “I haven’t got enough money,” “I can’t find my perfect partner,” “I can’t pay my bills,” “I think I’m coming down with something,” “He or she doesn’t appreciate me,” “I don’t get along with my parents,” “My child is a problem,” “My life is a mess,” or “My marriage is

in trouble,” then you must attract more of those experiences. But if you think about what you’re grateful for, like, “I love my job,” “My family is very supportive,” “I had the best vacation,” “I feel amazing today,” “I got the biggest tax refund ever,” or ”I had a great weekend camping with my son,” and you sincerely feel the gratitude, the law of attraction says you must attract more of those things into your life. It works in the same way as metal being drawn to a magnet; your gratitude is magnetic, and the more gratitude you have, the more abundance you magnetize. It is Universal law! You will have heard sayings like, “Whatever goes around comes around,” “You reap what you sow,” and “You get what you give.” Well, all of those sayings are describing the same law, and they’re also describing a principle of the Universe that the great scientist Sir Isaac Newton discovered. Newton’s scientific discoveries included the fundamental laws of motion in the Universe, one of which says: Every action always has an opposite and equal reaction. When you apply the idea of gratitude to Newton’s law it says: every action of giving thanks always causes an opposite reaction of receiving. And what you receive will always be equal to the amount of gratitude you’ve given. This means that the very action of gratitude sets off a reaction of receiving! And the more sincerely and the more deeply grateful you feel (in other words, the more gratitude you give) the more you will receive.

The Business Model By Mys Palmer A business model is like Bigfoot or unicorns: heard of by many, seen by few, proven by fewer. When asked most of us would give a strong, confident answer to the question “what is a business model?” And most of us would be unanimously wrong. (A+ for effort though!)

There’s nothing worse than knowing you know something you actually have no clue about. It’s the worst kind of lost. You just know you’re supposed to turn left, but you’ve seen that gas station, like, 5 times. Just accept it, you don’t know where in the world you’re going.

If you’re lost in business you’re failing…right?

It’s true.

You can’t know what you don’t know.

You can’t replicate what you can’t implement.

So without knowing what a business model is, or having the first (correct) clue about creating one, your business is doomed to failure, right?

Any business is built by experience. Being lost means you have to think outside of the box to get on track.

You may flail a bit without a business model in place, but you most certainly do not have to fail!

There is a way to do everything

I really do believe in that.

It’s a part of why I love branding.

When we’re going through the ringer it’s easy lose sight of that.

I know I have. And I probably will again.

But I always come back to it.

There IS a way to do everything.

So instead of being the know it all, be the person who asks the questions, finds the answers and shares the wealth.

What is a business model exactly?

I mean that is after all what this here read is all about.

Don’t worry, I actually DO have the answer I’m not stalling.

(Oh c’mon, you love to be teased like this, admit it!)

A business model is the explanation of how your business plans to create revenue and profit. See, nothing too fancy.

It’s not an elaborate business plan with all these financial projections that you discovered through 2nd degree research.

It’s the answers to the hard questions that only you can answer for your business.

Oh, and it varies by industry.

Now that you have the definition the question becomes, “how does one go about creating a business model branding sensei?”

Well, so glad you asked grasshoppa!

How to create a business model

I know I said it varies, but like all great things a business model has a foundation. A homogenous core that everything grows from depending on where you are in business, what industry you’re in and what product you’re building it for. Here are the foundational basics to build or refine your business model:

1. What’s the thing you do (or have) that makes your stuff different? In industry terms, what's you USP – unique selling proposition?

In order to highlight true benefits, you have to think like the consumer. You are the business owner and no matter how hard you try to convince yourself of it.

2. How will you reach customers?

This one is a straightforward question. Make no mistake, it still requires a well thought out strategy. Will you use email marketing, content marketing and/or social media marketing? Complete Guerrilla campaign or paid advertising too?

3. Pricing Strategy

The popular first stop in lots of free reports: pdf, report, case study… something. Just as long as it costs zero dollars and cents. AKA the freemium pricing strategy. Done properly, it works.Even if your initial offer is free, how will you price your services, courses, and advice so that the free offer yields dividends? Free doesn’t mean ALWAYS free, or EVERYTHING is free. You have to know how your pricing affects your customers.

4. It’s time to Sell

We like to call it marketing because it sounds better. Marketing doesn’t make people cringe with bad flashbacks of Ponzi schemers knocking on the door during dinner with the family. But, we are all salespeople. We have to be. If you’re not, your business probably hasn’t grown much.

And it won’t. The truth is, selling isn’t about being sleazy or sneaky. It’s about providing a solution to your customer’s needs. Building products and services that solve problems. It’s about listening intently and helping someone else achieve their goals. And yes, achieving your goals at the same time. So what is your selling strategy?

5. Delivering the goods

You might, like most, think it’s easy to deliver products over the internet. Sure. All you have to do is format your product. If its video, find and pay for hosting. If its copy, spend hours and hours writing or pay a copywriter to get the benefits right. Usually both. Then of course there’s the design, promotion, and support all while running your business. Easy peasy. Actually, it takes thousands of dollars, time, energy and a lot of trial and error. It’s work. Hard work. So when you’re deciding on your delivery, think of it all. Clickbank for affiliates? Guest posts, webinars, both? Self-hosted e-commerce site or paid platform? Be thorough.

6. Support doesn’t begin and end with answering questions. Supporting your customers means satisfying them too. Customer support may mean consulting. Actually, consulting may be the next level in your sales funnel. These are all the things you need to decide on. What online/offline resources will you need to help support your customers after a sale? Maybe it’s as simple as telephone support, or more elaborate like having a dedicated support team. This is where you figure that all out. Customer satisfaction was mentioned because in my eyes, the proper support adds to the overall customer experience and satisfaction. Happy customers equals successful business.

Agreed?

Now I’m WELL aware that this little 1,000+ word article only scratches the surface.

Business models are one of the most debated deliverables around.

Some say they are undefinable. Others treat them like the one-page business plan. It’s up to you to decide.

I will say this, your business model will grow and change with your business. It is a living breathing foundation.

Use this info as its intended, to build the foundation.

Planning sucks out loud. It sucks worse when you don’t know how to do it or where to start. This is my way of making planning your business model suck a lil’ less.

Now, go forth and business model!
