Tal y como estaba previsto, el pasado 16 de septiembre los alumnos de Yaiza comenzaron el nuevo curso escolar pero, contra todo pronóstico, lo hacían de forma presencial.

Hasta el 10 de septiembre, fecha señalada para que el Gobierno de Canarias analizara la situación epidemiológica y tomara una decisión, todo parecía apuntar a que el comienzo del curso en Lanzarote sería telemático, puesto que la consejera de Educación, Manuela Armas, no se cansó de repetir en los medios que con las cifras de contagios existentes, tanto Lanzarote como Tenerife y El Hierro comenzarían el curso de esta forma.
