al y como estaba previsto, el pasado 16 de septiembre los alumnos de Yaiza comenzaron el nuevo curso escolar pero, contra todo pronóstico, lo hacían de forma presencial. Hasta el 10 de septiembre, fecha señalada para que el Gobierno de Canarias analizara la situación epidemiológica y tomara una decisión, todo parecía apuntar a que el comienzo del curso en Lanzarote sería telemático, puesto que la consejera de Educación, Manuela Armas, no se cansó de repetir en los medios que con las cifras de contagios existentes, tanto Lanzarote como Tenerife y El Hierro comenzarían el curso de esta forma. Posiblemente, esto propició que centros e instituciones competentes se relajaran, provocando que no todo estuviera listo para el comienzo del curso. De hecho, en el CEIP Playa Blanca los alumnos de Infantil no pudieron empezar hasta el día 21, puesto que su puerta de acceso no estaba finalizada -se han habilitado nuevas entradas para evitar aglomeraciones-; y los alumnos vespertinos de Bachiller del IES Yaiza tuvieron que esperar hasta prácticamente final de mes para que el Cabildo gestionara la incorporación de una parada de guagua de la línea regular en el mismo
