Circulation strategy There are different types of movement within the site, the street grid highlight the commercial working space and residential area which provide a formal, uniform route. The green side aim to create a cyclical movement across the main green space, and provide different scene in different point, along these routes, it will add a spatial contrast from top to bottom.

Spatial strategy The Island site is dividing into serval area, the working space and residential area aim to provide a daily comfortable environment for worker and resident, other area will increase the richness of experience for people, include hard of soft surface, dense or sparse layout, higher or lower landform. All of the site will become a live-able and enjoyable place for everyone.

Vegetation strategy The main existing vegetation is buddleja, nearly all existing vegetation will be cleared, except the avenue trees and bottom tree groups will be remain and enhance. The proposed vegetation provides a new green place. The planting strategy will aim to make it a have a new function; vegetation will be used to emphasis visual quality at the edge area, serving visitors with an abundant experience and outdoor exploration. The oak terrace square can provide a potential performance space for people, the yellow grasses can provide autumn color on the edge, etc.

To provide new green space for the detail area, soft texture will be planted on the edge area, and benches also will be placed in different area, which can have a contrast of space. When people sit in the tall grasses area, it form a semi-closed space and can bring quiet atmosphere for us, however, when people sit beside lower perennial meadow area, the sight become wider and more voice can be heard. It can be seen in the E. In order to add more interest for this area, the edge area beside the road was raised about 1.5m and plant with small tree groups, and creates a sloping steel bridge, the bridge is a good point to view the pond, and it will give people different experience. Besides, the wood platform and the basin plant with tall grasses also can give more interest and different texture. 29
