Michael Fabiano stars as Faust, with Diana Damrau as his beloved Marguerite and Erwin Schrott as the diabolical Méphistophélès. Virtuoso leading roles, a large chorus, sensational sets, ballet and an ecstatic finale make this the epitome of theatrical spectacle – the lavish scale of French grand opera is wonderfully in evidence in this production by David McVicar, set in 1870s Paris. Above all, the music includes several of popular opera’s most recognizable numbers, performed by a cast of great international singers and the Royal Opera Chorus. £27.50 PRINCESS ALEXANDRA AUDITORIUM Hailed by critics and fans alike as one of the finest songwriters of his generation, Dean Friedman has achieved legendary, pop-icon status for chart-topping hits, Ariel, Lucky Stars, Lydia, McDonald’s Girl and more. Following last year’s sold-out, 40th Anniversary Tour, Friedman returns to the stage armed with a stunning collection of his insightful and compelling, true-tolife ‘story songs’ - songs of pathos and humour that deal with family, friends, neighbours, work and the seemingly trivial, yet ultimately essential stuff of everyday life.
After the Sold Out success of his 2015 & 2017 tours, Grammy award-winning, international chart-topping, British music legend Leo Sayer is returning to the UK for a short series of concerts and festival appearances. Leo is currently celebrating his recent release The Gold Collection which became his 15th appearance on the UK Top 40 album chart. Known the world over for his army of hits including Thunder In My Heart, Moonlighting, One Man Band, I Can’t Stop Loving You and the transatlantic number ones, When I Need You and You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, Leo is very excited to be back in his home country and looking forward to giving his audience another set of high-energy hit-packed shows. With 16 albums and 26 hit singles to his credit, Leo Sayer is one of the most successful acts the UK has ever produced and after he took the roof off this venue a couple of years ago, we are thrilled and delighted to welcome Leo back to the PAA.
Broadcast live from The Old Vic in London, Academy Award-winner Sally Field (Steel Magnolias, Brothers & Sisters) and Bill Pullman (The Sinner, Independence Day) star in Arthur Miller’s blistering drama All My Sons. FRIARAGE THEATRE In 2019, one of The Australian Ballet’s most popular works springs to new life. Spartacus tells the story of a gladiator who led a slaves’ rebellion against the Roman Empire. Charting the journey of a man finding passionate love, his mission and freedom, the ballet showcases the company at their spirited and athletic best. Think ballet is all pointe shoes and tutus? Think again! Universal in its themes, Spartacus is a classic story of an underdog who fights back against all odds. The passionate love between Spartacus and his wife Flavia anchors an urgent rebellion against the Roman Empire and Crassus, a Roman general.

Telling the hilarious story of an idealistic new teacher in his perilous first days inside a local comprehensive school, their play is based on their own drama teacher who ignites their passion for the stage with his idealism and belief. This fast-moving and entertaining comedy is hugely evocative for anyone who has endured life at a modern secondary school. Teechers brings to life the school bully, feared by teachers and pupils alike; Barry, the kid who never brings his PE kit; and the Headmistress, whose main priority is the annual Gilbert and Sullivan production.

TUESDAY 11TH JUNE, 7.15PM ADULT £15, CHILDREN £10, YARM PUPIL £8 FRIARAGE THEATRE Shakespeare’s enduring love story is known the world over. Since its 1965 premiere with The Royal Ballet, Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo and Juliet has become a modern ballet classic. The choreography captures the emotions of the young couple as they fall in love, despite the barriers that finally bring about the story’s tragic end. Each revival gives opportunities for new dancers to interpret the doomed lovers. The whole Company brings the colour and action of Renaissance Verona, where a busy market all too quickly bursts into sword fighting, and a family feud leads to tragedy for both the Montagues and Capulets.
