Urban Islands: Flores & Prats Drawing Studio The project focused on understanding Cockatoo Island by documenting it as five unique spaces, proposing a scheme that responded to individual site characteristics and also adjacent Sydney shorelines. The result was a self sufficient island with each space working with its island neighbour to activate the Sydney waterfront. Our design scheme enlivened the Southern Dock, expanding the industrial buildings on site to dissasemble returning ships, using the existing parts of the ships for housing. Each house is reassembled on a boat system that connects onto a movable wharf controlled from Balmain Shoreline; allowing the microcity to expand.
SES Building : Marrickville SES Buidling is a community centre used as a training area for State Emergency Services. This building is a simple shed structure that is characterized by it’s external cladding and flowing spaces. The external cladding allows a playful light to enter the double height space, and the fluid interior guides you through the building. Sculpture by the Sea : Bondi Urban Proposal Medium : Photoshop
The Regional Performing Arts Centre and Conservatorium falls within the Gosford waterfront site which forms part of the “Our City Our Destiny” Masterplan. The centre is open on ground level with a sandstone strip that wraps around the building highlighting the glowing theater. In the process of this project I have been involved in the planning of the theater and conservatorium and responsible for the graphics management to coordinate various graphic outputs; setting up perspetive views, detailing main render and panel layout.

Waverton residence provides 19 luxury apartments, 2, studios, 3 commercial spaces and a childcare center within the two building blocks. All apartments are both North and South facing. This allows the units to capture the morning sun and also desired views to the South. The ‘L’ Shape sections eliminate corridor space on two out of three floors, the two typical floor plans differ between a double height living room and one to two bedrooms, and a two bedroom apartment.
Waverton Station Residential Scheme
The scheme activates its urban context, with the commercial units facing the train station and joining on to existing shops and restaurants, providing a multifunctional central space. The childcare center is located on the midlevel garden, with easy access from public transport.
