WRINKLE UNFOLD
Shelter Design
Macal River, Belize 2022
Is there an inside / outside space within the cabbage?
WRINKLE UNFOLD is a shelter design and earth art project triggered by rethinking the natural growth of cabbage that reimagines the intersection of space and human experience. The shelter’s spacial planning has recreated the earth-grown process by adapting the cabbage’s natural design language: layering.
Ideally, the project will become an earthgrown item as the wild plants penetrate and grow with it for years, which resting on the river bank aims to be a natural shelter for tourists and hikers along their journey.
