My name is Yolanda Berry. I’m a jewelry designer and entrepreneur based in Northern New Jersey. I’ve been designing jewelry for about 4 years. I started creating jewelry because I could not find earrings that I liked in the retail stores.

My product is geared for the young teen, college student, mother and the career woman who loves fashion and understands that accessories are key to her wardrobe. I am inspired by color and believe that everyone should find their passion and do what they love. The 4 C' for Gemstone Jewelry
Different Gemstones There are many different ways to categorize types of gemstones. It’s reasonable to expect lasting value and enjoyment when you purchase gemstone jewelry. Learning a few things about gemstone quality and value will help you make sure you get what you want and deserve. You can start by trusting your instincts. Sensory appeal is always paramount. So, if a particular gemstone or jewelry design "speaks" to you, by all means listen! You can also use what you know about the 4Cs. The familiar diamond value factors of color, cut, clarity, and carat weight apply to colored gemstones as well. However, each gemstone variety is judged by its own potential: no one expects an aquamarine to have the same color as a sapphire or an emerald to be as flawless as an aquamarine. But there are a few general rules you can use to judge gemstone quality.
Sometimes they are identified by category. Alternately types of gemstones may be classed by how they are made. Another way to classify gems is by describing them as precious, semi-precious or organic. When gemstones are identified by category, the following categories may apply: Diamonds - considered the most precious stone in the world. Corundum - contains gemstones like sapphires and rubies. Chrysoberyl - alexandrite and cat’s eyes are two common stones of this type. Quartz - amethyst, onyx, citrine, and carnelian are part of this group. Beryl - related to quartz and contains stones like emeralds and aquamarines.
