Help us break a world record! We need you to help us beat the Guinness World Record for the largest circuit training class at this year's annual Community Festival. The current record sits at 2,061 by Guy Leech at Alexandra Gardens Melbourne in 2013. Participants will need to perform a series of familiar exercises for around 3mins each including skipping, aerobics, lunges and sit ups. The attempt is part of Healthy Together Whittlesea's campaign to encourage everyone to do a bit more activity every day – it all adds up. Adults need at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity most days and kids need double this every day. Residents joining the largest circuit training attempt can combine their 30 minutes of daily physical activity with breaking a world record. Lalor resident Elizabeth James is looking forward to taking on the challenge with her four children. “What a fantastic way to have fun and keep active with the kids, family and friends! We can't wait to join in.” Everyone who registers will also go in the draw to win one of ten Alere Pebbles that will allow you to monitor your own health and get involved in activity challenges.
