The venue qui ckl y became known as Mount Ol ympus, named by Yur gos. As someone who was par t of t he cl eani ng, I want t o descr i be t o you how absur d t he si t uat i on was. We moved, and I shi t you not , wei ght machi nes, meat gr i nder s, popcor n maker s, not 5 or 10 but pr obabl y cl ose t o 15 door s, endl ess amount s of gar bage, pai nt i ngs, mul t i t udes of chai r s, t abl es, a f r amed pi ct ur e of past r i es and numer ous ot her oddi t i es. Bands began usi ng i t as a j am space whi ch i n t ur n caused i t t o become a space t o r ecor d demos. The f i nal show was t he def i ni ng show f or mysel f and summed up ever yt hi ng about t he venue. Peopl e wer e shocked, br oken up and over al l pi ssed about t he news of cl osi ng. The show?s l i ne up was st acked f ul l of f avour i t es; Thi r st y Camel , St r eet Li ght Par ki ng Lot and a t our i ng band, 1971.
