Statement by Annie Hsiao- Wen Wang I understand now that my pursuits for knowledge, previously in the sciences and now in the arts, have both been driven by the same sense of yearning: a seeking for truth, for meaning. In the sciences it has been a searching for truth within the external physical world; and in the arts, within the metaphysical and the inner spiritual self. This body of work is about negotiating the dualities within: the visceral against the ephemeral, the dark versus light.
創作自述～ 王筱雯 我現在才瞭解，不論是在藝術或科學裡，我對知識的追求都來自於一種靈魂深處的渴 望，不停不歇地尋覓著真理和意義。在科學裡，我探尋着外在物質世界的真理，而藝 術讓我探觸到內在抽象的精神。 此次的作品探討著內在二元的對立，恆久和無常，黑暗與光明。
