Our friendly family owned garden centre nestles at the heart of the midland road network, making it only minutes from midland towns & cities. Planters offers the very best in quality plants, trees, shrubs and much, much more. Through hard work and commitment to customer service we have become a leading and award winning garden centre and we strive to develop the business without losing the family feel and approach.
Step inside and you’ll find a fantastic range of plants, indoor & outdoor furniture, garden care products, aggregates & composts, pets & aquatics and more. Planters have everything you need for a great family day out, with our award winning restaurant, Sky Trail Adventure, Adventure Golf and seasonal events too.
Planters is also home to several concessions. Cotton Traders is located by our aquatics department and offers a wide range of clothing, footwear and accessories. Outside the entrance to our centre we have R&J Butchers and The Nut Centre. Then in the car park we have Tamworth Caravans and Ready Sheds.

Having a great garden needn’t be hard work. Our garden care products range from lawn seeds and weedkillers to tools and specialist accessories, so no matter what your next garden project is we’ve got you sorted. Our friendly and knowledgeable team are always on hand to offer help and advice too.
Bulbs are brilliant for creating wonderful spring colour and vibrant shows in the summer. Look out for our range of spring flowering bulbs that will arrive at the end of July, a great variety of Daffodils, Tulips, Crocus and other spring delights to be planted during the autumn.
We will also have seed potatoes that can be planted and Harvested ready for Christmas and a range of Onions and Garlic.

Compost
At Planters we pride ourselves on our range of growing media. We stock trusted brands such as Miracle Gro, Levington and Westland. Year round we stock multi-purpose, ericaceous, moisture control and rose, tree and shrub composts. We also supply a peat-free compost for customers wishing for even greener gardening. We also have an extensive grow your own range, from Tomato growbags to Potato grow sacs to farmyard manure we can help you put your own veg on the dinner table.
Aggregates & Fencing
If you’re looking for an easy way of making a big impact in your garden quickly, then check out our aggregates section. There’s lots of gravels, slate, pebbles and cobbles in a wide range of colours and sizes to suit any garden style and use.
Our range of paving kits offer a quick way of sorting out a new patio too. There’s square kits, rectangular kits and circle kits too. Each come in a range of sizes to suit your needs.
Our range of trellis and fencing products will add privacy to your garden and make it a true haven. We offer a carry to car service, or can deliver your items to your home if you prefer.
Pots & Containers
At Planters we have a great range of pots and containers to suit all styles and budgets. We stock an extensive range of APTA terracotta pots, Woodlodge and lots more! Pots are a great addition to your garden, filling even the smallest space with colour.
We additionally stock a large range of pot feet and stands, which have lots of benefits including increasing air flow around your pots and reducing the risks of cracks forming.

Restaurant at Planters
Our restaurant first opened its doors on 19th March 2000 following the success of the ‘Peaches and Cream” Tearoom.
Since then our restaurant has gone from strength to strength over the years, and on the 20th April 2015 our exciting new restaurant opened serving many of our homemade dishes that we used to serve alongside a new extended menu, offering award winning pizzas, homemade cakes and desserts and a large selection of hot, cold meals and snacks.
Coffee Shop
We even opened our very own Coffee Shop serving high quality Barista coffee, using our very own blend of Planters Coffee, roasted by Beanworks of Brackley, Northamptonshire. Why not pop in and enjoy a coffee and a slice of homemade cake in front of the roaring fire and relax, read a newspaper or login to our free wifi to catch up with all those important emails.
There’s also a dog friendly area so you can dine with your dog Monday to Friday

We are pleased to announce that our function room is now open and available for bookings. Whatever the occasion we can provide you with exclusive room hire, seating up to 60 people, depending on configuration and we can work with you to tailor our packages and menus to best suit your requirements.

We have a great range of wild bird products including feeders for every kind of seed and feed. We have ranges of bird feed formulated specifically for all the different types of birds you will find in your garden or would like to attract.
Pets
Our stunning and modern animal units are home to lots of beautiful bunnies, gorgeous guineas and happy hamsters! Each animal that joins us is given a name and treated like one of our own.
We have a huge range of birds, including budgies, cockatiels, love birds, finches, canaries, parrots, parakeets, lorikeets and kakarikis.
Our range of small animals includes rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats and hedgehogs. When you visit Planters, you can be sure that you will receive expert advice so that you can buy and look after your pets with ease.

Reptiles
Animals include snakes, bearded dragons, crested geckos, leopard geckos, giant African land snails, millipedes, tortoises, chameleons, toads, frogs and tarantulas.
We sell live and frozen food for reptiles. (Please feel free to call ahead about our live stock as availability may vary.)
We stock a range of accessories and habitats along with full starter kits for a range of reptiles, perfect for an easy way to set up your reptile home. Accessories include lighting, heating, feeding and watering, decoration and holding tanks.
Wild Bird Care
We have a great range of bird feeders for all budgets.
Our Gardman and Tom Chambers stands provide top quality products at great prices. There are lots of different feeders, treats, bird stations and bird tables to choose from so we are sure to have the right one for the birds in your garden.
Our red barn wild birdseed is of the highest quality. We have so many different types to choose from including niger seed, no grow, husk free and of course a highly nutritious and beneficial standard wild birdseed.
We also have a wide variety of suet products. Suet is very palatable and is a great way to give your birds lots of energy especially during the winter months. Attract the birds into your garden and watch them tuck in!
As for wildlife, we stock hedgehog houses, ladybird towers, bug hotels, butterfly biomes and more.

Welcome to our aquatics departments at Tamworth! We stock everything from fish, to aquariums and even pond equipment. If you have any questions just call or pop down and see us and we will be happy to help and advise as much as we can – whether it’s on setting up a new tank, or cleaning your existing one. If we don’t have what you need, just ask and we will do our best to see if we can get hold of it for you.
Sky Trail & Adventure Golf
Sky Trail
Experience the high level thrills of Planters Sky Trail Adventure. This great attraction for the whole family, is one of only a few in the country.
If you’re after an adrenaline rush, rise to the challenge! Navigate around our two level rope, bridge and beam course.
We are the only garden centre in Britain where you can enjoy the thrills of this high level adventure.

Adventure Golf
Step onto our adventure golf course at Tamworth and be transported to the world’s tallest mountains with our fantastic theming.
This fun-packed activity will see you play golf on Mount Everest, the Matterhorn & Mount Fuji as well as 9 other iconic mountains as you test your skills on our 12 hole course.
Our adventure golf course is perfect for couples, groups, families, and solo players too.
