SITE This Task focuses on the ACTION happened during different time of the day at Union Lawn. Also map the intensity of used/unused areas at the site.
SPATIAL COMPOSITION
This Task is about Frame/ Grid technique. The model focuses on spacial and structural with vertical and horizontal elements, also plays with shadow which gives a sense of extending. The design is inspired by the drawing from Peter Eisenman and Japanese timber frame. The model is designed in different levels. All of joints use same technique to create regular spaces. But the different levels, to some extent, break the regular spaces.

LANDFORMING Focusing on two Landforming techniques: EXTRUSION and SUBTRACTION. Also it includes steppings. The design is created pattarn with blocks, to give sense of control. Introducing different landforming techniques may could enhance design. A slight tilting and variation in heights of blocks would create more fun.

ASSEMBLAGE The COMPOSITIONAL Strategy is GRAFTING, which with the arbitrary and artificial conjuction of two distinct characteristics (spatial frame and landform). The spatial frame and landform are redesigned from the design of SPATIAL COMPOSITION and LANDFORMING. Instead of the regular and controled frame frome SPATIAL COPOSITION, the frame of this work is quite rough and arbitrary. Elements are varied which helps to make various dimensional levels. For the landform, inspiring from blocks in LANDFORMING, but it was redesigned in different sizes. Frame sticks in blocks, goes through or sticks out these blocks, combining two totally different things together. The way of joining is inspired from the nature, that trees can grow up from rocks only with tiny soil and water.

SPATIO-TEMPORAL NARRATIVE I work in a factory I wait with others in line I mark time like others do I wait for winding up to tell me what to do
NARRATIVE & SPATIO-TEMPORAL NARRATIVE The Activity is OCCUPY, which focus more on "Control". The inspiration is from the film METROPOLIS (1927), especially shots of how tough that workers working in the underground factory and controled by factory. Narrative not only describes the situation of workers being in, but mentions that workers struggle themselves for freedom.
I walk in to the factory toward the machine I follow the order to do what I was told like clockwork I put hands up, push the button, put hands down, again and again I see boss stares at me seriously I see others work like clock seriously We are occupied I shake off the control I run with my own mind I do not work in factory any more‌.

FINAL PROJECT PLAN & SECTION
Plan is traced from SUPERIMPOSITION Especially the landforming is exactly traced from it to create pieces of geometric forms, then offsetting it to create EXTRUSION and SUBTRACTION. The material is metal.
FINAL PROJECT MODEL The FRAME is made by I-Shape beams, which shows industrialization according to the narrative. Also the shape of frame creates beautiful shadow mix together with landform. Pieces of forms in landforming like pieces of individual inslands to allow people occupy them. The frame stretches across the landform trying to occupy/control the landform. The height of frame allow people climb on it, which again let people occupy the frame.
