This project chose sugar as the target for food production, initially from sugar beets, a variety of beet used exclusively for sugar production and the primary source of white sugar other than sugar cane. This building will use the sugar made from sugar beets to make desserts that will be served to the residents of this site.

The beets are planted in containers, harvested after four months, then transported to a huge washing machine, then shredded for subsequent juicing. The sugar juice is purified by adding lime milk, then it goes to the evaporation step, after evaporation the remaining syrup is boiled at high temperature, put in a centrifuge to separate the crystallized sugar from the mother liquor. Finally it can be dried to obtain the crystallized sugar.

The program is divided into four sections, the farm, the factory, the sweet room and the residential building. There are six residential buildings at the back of the site and we stack them above the corner pub and then build the public programs at the back. The beets are grown and matured on the farm and transported to the sugar factory where the sugar is made and fed into the dessert Cafe and the dessert studio.

The project is located in the back of a residential building, so a bubble language was chosen to differentiate it from its surroundings, in case it was too hidden.

From right to left are the farm, the factory, and the dessert rooms. Some of the buildings have pitched roofs, the factory has a huge chimney in the middle, and the other pitched roofs have skylights. A wedding venue was demolished here, it now sits on the second floor of the back of the dessert room, which has a flat roof for people to dance on.

Arched windows were used in this project, a feature derived from the King William Street. The windows start with a regular pattern on the farm and gradually break up the sequence and make some upside down on the right, creating a visual transition. The material used is concrete with varying shades of brush marks. The windows are glazed externally to create depth within, painted in different colors to add layers to the interior space.
