PROJECT 01: BUILDING ANALYSIS SITE EXPLORATIVE Site context and building analysis is the investigation of the existing site relating to the development program, environmental impact, impacts on the community and adjacent properties, project budget, and schedule. Through analysis the site, students can identify environmental, program and development constraints and opportunities. OBSERVE + EXAMINE + ARCHIVE= NARRATE
Our research and analysis are based on the topics, • Physical Studies Site context - sun path, glare, reflections, shadows, natural ventilation, acoustic condition Access route and transportation - road network, traffic and pedestrian flow Surrounding structures / buildings –types, characteristics, styles Vegetation • Art and Culture Social composition of the area – age group, population group and profiling Behavioral patterns, habits, preferences, user types / lifestyle, occupations, Income level, night life, lunch rush hour, competitor, facilities • Building Analysis and Interior Existing condition of interior elements consists of wall, floor, ceiling, door, window, staircase, roof, openings Built-in furniture, spatial function and layout analysis, natural ventilation Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, site measurements and drawings are provided. Students are required to present our findings of the site analysis in an abstract narrative way and the findings of this project will be use in the final project. Submission: A0 Presentation Board

PROJECT 02: CONCEPTUALIZE SPACE NARRATIVE Students are required to choose a subject matter related to the findings around project site., and do a background research to determine the essence, meaning, emphasize the story behind the subject matter that has evolve in time.
Objectives: 1. In-depth research and deconstruct of subject’s characters and stories behind 2. Analyze and display space programming 3. Conceptualize ideas before design process Task: • Title in own definition • Infographic content in diagrammatic manner • Subject matter, design processes, activity, characteristics • 3-5 Keywords as guide in conceptual elements • Space programming content in a storyline visual narration
From the research of subject matter, student are required to present our conceptual space programming of the space narrative for users’ experience. Submission: 1. A1 Board of subject matter Info-Graphic 2. A1 Board of Conceptual Visual Narrative Space Programming
FINAL PROJECT: DESIGN [EVOLUTION] IN NARRATIVE SPACE Student are required to inherit the design conceptual and space programming from project 2 to design and build the interior form given site, The Row KL. Students must show the execution in detail design process and programming through different mediums of art in drawings, digital modelling and narration of in-depth research of selected idea title. Condoms, consent, and courage: Teaching sex positivity in Malaysia Project Aim Due to the cultural taboos pose formidable barriers, Malaysians are conservative when it comes to matters of sex and sexual freedom. Through the space program to redefine condom, S-Explicit aims in pushing past cultural conservatism to promote sex positivity, deconstructing norms around sex, opening conversations about pleasure, health and inclusivity.
Educate & Experience In S-Explicit, condom acts as a medium in redefining the matter sex in a new perspective. People learn about sex in no confusion or doubt, in knowing and enhancing their pleasure and intimacy.

CORRIDOR WITH DISPLAY Moving from the experiential session to the retail, visitors pass through a corridor with themed display. The display intend to bring out the message which sex is part of our life and people should accept the pleasure and intimacy.
Space programming
PRIVATE CONDOM VENDING Before we can achieve a new change of perception towards condom, a private vending is designated to fulfill the condom purchase behavior which people feel embarrassed to pay for condom at the counter. This provides an alternative method for the buyers. COVER BEFORE CUDDLE A retail for visitors to choose their condoms and pay at the counter after understanding the importance of condom throughout the journey. EXIT OF THE VISIT

WORKSHOP Built in platform use for sex education talk shows, modular seats available for to fit different events. ADMINISTRATION OFFICE Prohibited access and only staffs are allowed.
WELCOMING RECEPTION Reception to welcome the visitors also act as an information counter facing inwards. Visitors can get information, guide about the space and collect their free awareness wristband.

Installation details
• Fishing wire • Infinity shaped condom connected to CNC cut disk using fishing wire hung in different length to create vaulted cavities of space creating motion.
Acrylic panels assembled to create an undulating whole with a rich spectrum of colors.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL LENTICULAR EFFECT The panels are rotated and hung at different angles and lengths. As daylight penetrates down from polycarbonate, changes in intensity of lights creates different shades and colors combination of shadow to space below.

SCULPTURAL APPEARANCE Curvy carved out concrete wall Multiple waves cropped in altering in size and orientation create a continuous, gentle curve which becomes an interpretation of flexibility of condom that are exhibited.

Where users are provided with a free unwrapping condom experience to feel the flexibility, shapes and texture of condom. Hand sanitizing area is provided for users’ convenient.

Suspended wave like metal baffle ceiling creates vivid, three dimensional effects with multitude of possible radii, center distances and sizes.
Chill area
The repetitive hexagonal pattern terrazzo extends to the chill spot, where people get to enjoy a sunbathe conversation with a peak into the themed display.
THEMED CORRIDOR
Users pass through a dark tunnel-like walkway, where at their side is the showcase of naked mannequins with color changes on lighting hint obliquely at the pleasure and intimacy in enjoying safe sex.

Where condom products are displayed overtly. Users can choose to buy and pay and counter or enter the private condom vending space.
