Diabetes Empowerment Programme Diabetes The Diabetes Empowerment Programme is catered to people with diabetes and their caregivers. It features fun and hands-on group learning, and allows participants to share their experiences in coping with the disease and tips on how to keep well.
Over four half-day sessions, you will acquire practical hands-on tools and skills to manage your diabetes. These sessions are held on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm.
With this programme, you can learn how to enjoy your favourite food in a healthier way. You will also be equipped with tools and knowledge for self-care, and pick up tips for exercise from our physiotherapists.

What You Can Learn?
Session 2
This programme will empower you and your caregiver with the knowledge and skills to control your diabetes. Our surveys show that participants had better blood sugar control up to six months after attending the programme. Average blood haemoglobin A1c level (HbA1c) was also reduced from 9.8% to 8.2%.
