Projects Assistant – Enterprise Music Scotland Fixed term post (9 months with the possibility of a permanent post after initial period) 0.4 £22,000 pro rata (calculated at the 0.4 level: 2 days per week) Experienced individual required to support, develop and deliver project work throughout Scotland for Enterprise Music Scotland, the national body for chamber music in Scotland. We will require a candidate with exemplary administrative skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders (management team, member promoters, performer members and funders) and to provide core administrative support to facilitate effective delivery of our work in Scotland. The candidate will be highly motivated and efficient with experience of the classical chamber music sector in Scotland. The post holder will be required to work from a central office location in Glasgow city centre. Some national travel will be required. Job Description: The Projects Assistant will be required to be proactive in delivering the project work of Enterprise Music Scotland and providing core administrative support where required. Key tasks will include delivering projects to a specific timescale, budget and remit including attention to all detail and appropriate monitoring and evaluation procedures; co-ordinating the timetabling of the management team and tasks; data processing/management; creation of publicity materials and delivery of our social media plan. Day to day administrative support will also be tasked as appropriate.

Person Specification: The Projects Assistant will liaise (when required) with the network of promoters who currently programme, contract, publicise and deliver over 500 chamber music concerts per annum. The person required will be comfortable communicating to a diverse range of both music sector voluntary and professional organisations and individuals. Due to the wide ranging nature of this key support role, the person required will be productive, organised, evidence attention to detail and be able to demonstrate an interest in the sector. We value imaginative, collaborative staff members who can bring new ideas and energy to the sector.

Knowledge and Skills required: Essential        

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written A high level of I.T skills – working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages Demonstrable administrative and co-ordination skills A good understanding of social media and how to implement this effectively as a marketing tool to support our work Experience of evaluation and review Ability to manage various strands of project work simultaneously Ability to co-ordinate, support, develop and deliver as best fits the needs of the team Good working knowledge of the Chamber Music Sector throughout Scotland
