Ynyshir Albions FC 2 – 1 Garw SBGC
A majorly flat game with a lack of incident. Although another struggle it was 3 points ground out for Ynyshir. Early on The Buns got the ball down, looked busy and played good football and on 20 minutes the home side took the lead with a stunning strike into the top corner from Jamie Williams who was slowly closed down by the Garw defence. Garw were bright and lively although not posing too much of a threat and Ynyshir remained on top eventually earning a penalty when Cory Morgan was brought down and Jamie Rewbury dispatching for 2-0. All seemed set for a comfortable 2nd half but it was anything but. Garw rolled up they're sleeves and fought as Ynyshir seemed to go through the motions and after Garw finished an attack well at the back post for 2-1 anxiety set in Ynyshir's play. All became rushed and predictable from Ynyshir although Garw did have their keeper to thank for two cracking close range saves, one from Liam Eason that looked to have crossed the line. For everything Garw gave in effort an equaliser never came close to materialising. Sean Jones and Jamie Rewbury, both well worked, were superb in the Ynyshir defence. Again a struggle but yet again what could be a vital 3 points. #COTB
