From all the players, management and committee we really do appreciate it.
Carol Fry
Oh…Gavin Fry is Magic There have been a number of individuals who have played an important role in the club's history. Some on the field, others off the field- some both! One person who has done both and just about every role imaginable at the club is the one and only Gavin Fry, current club chairman and a member of the club's prestigious 100 club. Ynyshir born and bred, Gavin's talents on the field saw him play in the Konica league of Wales (the current Cymru premier) before returning home to play for the buns. Being an important part of the midfield in the side that narrowly missed out on promotion to the Welsh league in the early 2000s. As many of that side left either to go higher up the pyramid as their talent's deserved or hanging up their boots Gav stayed moving onto the side-lines. Managing the side and helping run the club with the help of his wife Carol who keeps all of us at the club in check as club secretary. His efforts to keep the club going making sure a side was there to see that fixture commitments were met, laid the foundation for the club's rise in recent years. Although Gav missed out on promotion to the Welsh league with the club as a player, he's been able to enjoy the club's rise from the side lines and when promotion was clinched, Fry was in the squad. Carol Fry
Lewis Fry, Gavin's son played his part as the alliance premier title was won; scoring a free kick in one of the final games of the season as promotion was clinched. As the club continues to push forward and build on recent success regardless of where the club finds itself in the future Gavin Fry will be not only a club legend but an Ynyshir legend!
Trip down Memory Lane
On this Weekend…… 2 Years Ago Ynyshir Albions 5-1 Aberdare Town Resounding home victory in this Rhondda v Cynon Valley clash. Huw McGregor 2, Cory Morgan, Scotty Jones and evergreen striker Craig Guppy Hughes the goal scorers. 4 Years Ago Ynyshir Albions 4-0 Pencoed Athletic Unbelievably 2nd best for large periods of the game though we took our chances eventually running riot late on. Return to form after a difficult period before Christmas with a comfortable win over a struggling Margam side. Brace from Huw McGregor again and a screamer from Daniel ‘Dunga’ Evans.

Club News New Sponsor Onboard
We are delighted to announce and welcome Robert Price Builders Merchants as one of our new primary sponsors. They’ve been extremely professional to deal and were very supportive of the work and direction that the club is aiming to move forward with. The designs have been finalised and we will shortly be unveiling the new fixture board at the Oval with Robert Price as our proud sponsor. If you’ve not already noticed they have recently opened a new branch in Porth just up from the old Fire Station, please check them out for all your building and DIY needs. Carol Fry
From everyone associated to the club we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Robert Price, we hope for a long and successful partnership on and off the field.
Thank You We are yet again as a club overwhelmed by the generosity shown by our supporters, members of the local community, local businesses and Sport Wales who have kindly donated to our Crowdfunding campaign. We will be in touch shortly with people who selected one of the reward packages and please stay tuned to our social media pages as we’ll share progress of the work being undertaken to improve the facilities we are able to offer on match days.
