Club History Trip down memory lane to the cup final against
local rivals Penrhiwfer We won the Senior Cup allez allez allez in 03/04 in what was a frustrating season for the buns missing out on promotion on the final day of the season and losing the in the semis of the league Cup. But a chance of redemption was on offer to the boys in red and black in the seasons curtain closer the South Wales FA senior Cup final. The opposition Penrhiwfer an extremely strong side who'd been a thorn in the side of the buns all season beating us to promotion and dumping a frustrated buns out of the league Cup. Arguably the two strongest sides in the competition and the Rhondda that season were now facing off once more. Ynys Park home of Ton Pentre FC was the stage for a game that would either see Penrhiwfer as all concurring for the season or the buns claim something for a season that had slipped away from them on the final day of the campaign. A tight and hard thought game played with current committee members Gavin Fry and Ryan Oliver in midfield Carolof Frythe clubs all time scorers Damian Roberts just before half time. and the decisive goal being scored by one The second half saw both side go at each other with determination but superb performances from Daniel Lever, James Williams, Dean Philpott and captain Jason Barnet saw the buns deservedly lift the cup.
