Club History Jolly BUNS OUTING This seasons Welsh cup has been a monumental success for the club after getting through the two qualifying rounds with an away win at Blaenrhondda and an emphatic home win over Cwmbach Royal stars. The eagerly anticipated first round draw saw another awayday for the team and its faithful. A trip to the West Wales coast to see the boys dispatch Aberaeron FC and put their name into the hat for the second round a reason for celebration in itself as the buns were now in round two for the first time ever. A jubilant bus trip home had players committee and fans alike gleefully thinking of the prospect of Cardiff Met, Barry Town or the New Saints coming to the Oval over a celebratory pint or two. As the second round draw was playing out we were still in the hat pondering who could it be for the buns and as the last tie out of the southern section of the draw. Penrhyncoch fc vs Ynyshir Albions another awayday to Ceredigion. Google maps were checked the coach company were on speed dial and the prospect of a trip to face a tier 2 side who'd put the New Saints out of the MG Cup just weeks before. Carol Fry

As the day rolled closer the excitement built a full coach leaving the Baden, from the team, Committee and fans confident an upset was possible and certain of a good day out regardless.

Club History Jolly BUNS OUTING On arrival the buns contingent were in full party mode with drinks and songs in full flow as the boys made the walk across to the ground to gear up for the match. This mood continued throughout the day despite the result going in favour of our hosts. The roosters even commented on this during their twitter updates of the match commending the vocal away following a swell as local radio station radio Aber who'd done live coverage of the both this and the first round match praising the buns both on and off the field. And it was then after the match when perhaps many would be down, the clubs character shone through. Bringing the party to the host club house music blasting and drinks flowing more so than earlier in the day. Every bun there enjoying the occasion that shows just how far club has risen in recent years. Such was the party atmosphere no one realised that first team manager Hoppy was left behind as the journey home started. Despite a plea of Guppy to leave him stranded we couldn’t leave the gaffa behind, so a quick turn around to get him and the show was back on the roadCarol until Fry next season we bid farewell to the Welsh cup. Unlike the famous Only Fools & Horses scene at Margate there was no bus explosion, closest we got was a broken toilet door (broken before we set off) and no Rodney arrests were made for kicking a football at a police officer.

Club History Jolly BUNS OUTING The fairy tale cup dream came to an end this time around but its just another example of where this club has come from the last 6-7 years, no one would of dreamed this back then but its this group of players along with their loyal fans who are determined to re-write buns history once again.
