Man of The Match Board
Another first for the club this year we are but we delighted to have renewed our affiliation with Brendan of ‘Lyons Den’ who has kindly agreed to sponsor our new ‘Man of the Match’ board.
Todays Match Day Sponsor For our return to football on the Oval and for the very first fixture on the ground at this level we would like to thank ‘The Baden’ who are todays match day sponsor. We are all already looking forward to spending time there post match and if anything like last season is to go by I’m sure the clubs treasurer is glad the football season is back up and running. A huge thank you to the committee and staff for all their continued hard work in supporting the cub, we really do appreciate everything.
1 Year Ago - Ynyshir Albions 5-0 West End In a midweek fixture we opened Ynyshir Oval for the 1st time in the 3rd tier of Welsh football, Cory Morgan, Leon Anstee, Huw McGregor, Liam Eason and Drew Caple would all score in a thumping win.
3 Years Ago - Ynyshir Albions 3-0 AFC Porth Again a midweek fixture and another 1st, our 1st home match as a Welsh League club. An early Huw McGregor hattrick would sweep Porth aside in a comfortable derby victory.
7 Years Ago - Ynyshir Albions 4-3 Graig AFC A Saturday thriller in the opening weekend of South Wales Alliance Two in the newly reformed South Wales football structure. Cei Mason 2 and Jamie Williams would be goal scorers in what looked a disappointing 3-3 draw until player manager Craig Wells brought himself off the bench to score an injury time winner.
Trip down Memory Lane
20 Years Ago - Ynyshir Albions 3-1 Cwmbach Royal Stars In the old South Wales Senior League days, Ynyshir would bounce back from defeat 1st game of the season away at Penydarren to beat Cwmbach on Ynyhsir Oval. Chris Perry 2 and Gavin Fry getting the goals.

Carol Fry Club News Season Tickets a club we are mindful of the rising costs of every day life so following feedback pre-season from supporters we decided to trial for the very first time a club season ticket for all league and cup home fixtures have been overwhelmed by the response from supporters contacting us to secure their season tickets ahead of what will be an historic day in the clubs short but successful history. If you are interested please speak to a member of the committee or contact us via one of our social media pages they are still on offer for just £50.

Last season we ran a joint venture with Sport Wales which was so generously backed by you via our Crowdfunding campaign. I think you will agree when you visit the ground that the work that has been undertaken will help push the club forward and enhance the facilities for everyone on a match day.
