We’ve said it for some time now but our fans are our 12th man, the support both home & away last season at times gave the players that extra push, however as the saying goes there is no place like home…we can’t wait to see you at the Oval!

A Charitable Connection
Today's visitors the wellmen are an established Welsh league club but in recent years it's a friendship with a club from the English pyramid that has brought them into the spotlight. Between 2017 & 2019 the Taff's hosted three pre-season fixtures with nearby neighbours Cardiff City one of which was in preparation for the bluebirds second spell in the Premier League.
All of witch came about due to fundraising by the club for the nearby vellindre cancer hospital notably playing in a pink kit to help raise awareness, this was noticed by Neil Warnock who for family reasons was attending vellindre and an unexpected friendship blossomed.
Thousands were present for all three fixtures as player's and coaches mixed with fans in a carnival atmosphere. A 1-0, 3-0 & 5-1 victory's for the bluebirds was irrelevant as all three matches gave the community a night to remember and charities a boost with the second fixture being in aid of the Ty-Hafan children's hospital.
Carol FryThe friendship continued after Neil Warnock's departure from the Welsh capital as he stayed in touch with the wellmen helping with fundraising for a community defibrillator that now sits next to the main gate.
Man of The Match Board
Another first for the club this year we are but we delighted to have renewed our affiliation with Brendan of ‘Lyons Den’ who has kindly agreed to sponsor our new ‘Man of the Match’ board.
Todays Match Day Sponsor
For todays fixture we would like to thank ‘Gills Skip Hire’ who have continued their sponsorship with the club, a business that has helped support a number of clubs within the valleys over the years.

Long Live The
The word ‘Legend’ is often used too lightly with little to no evidence to quantify such a statement / title.
However for anyone associated to the club or those with a good understanding of our history I think we can safely say that Cei ‘The King’ Mason more than deserves such a mantle.
He’s represented the club since 2005 and has applied his trade from Tier 7 through to Tier 2, even he thought that this would be one achievement too many in what has been an illustrious career but last Friday he once again showed his love and commitment for the club netting his 150th & 151st goal.
There have been some great players over the years with only a handful in the exclusive 100 club but Mason is now out in front and this may be a record that that remains unchallenged for many a decade to come.
Carol Fry
His work rate on the field is unreal but the last 4 years its his work off the field, that many would not of seen, but for those that have I think we can confidently say had it not been, we would quite simply not be applying our trade at this level.
From everyone at the club we wanted to say a massive thank you to West Link Mechanical Services who a few weeks ago won the club raffle to secure primary sponsorship for our Reserves Team home kit.
This was worn for the first time in last Friday nights fixture which was the clubs first on the new and very impressive Baglan field, as the buns secured a much needed three points in a 6-0 win against Treowen.
Club News Season Tickets
As a club we are mindful of the rising costs of every day life so following feedback pre-season from supporters we decided to trial for the very first time a club season ticket for all league and cup home fixtures
We have been overwhelmed by the response from supporters contacting us to secure their season tickets ahead of what will be an historic day in the clubs short but successful history.
Carol FryIf you are interested please speak to a member of the committee or contact us via one of our social media pages they are still on offer for just £50.
Last season we ran a joint venture with Sport Wales which was so generously backed by you via our Crowdfunding campaign.
I think you will agree when you visit the ground that the work that has been undertaken will help push the club forward and enhance the facilities for everyone on a match day.
