Kamloops Wellness Festival Marketing, Promotion, Community Connection Take part in the opportunity to present yourself and your business to new potential clients, meet other practitioners, and participate in a joint marketing program to promote health, wellness, fitness, nutrition, healing, spirituality and more in Kamloops! Join us Friday June 17 - Sunday, June 19, 2011 for The Kamloops Wellness Festival at Let’s Move Studio and Wellness Centre on McGill Place. The Festival is designed to promote Healthy living, alternative healing and wellness in Kamloops and is an opportunity for you to make contact with large numbers of potential customers. This event will be well-promoted and is expected to draw over 500 attendees who do more than just pass through - most clients stay and return for much of the weekend! Attendance is free to the public - we feel this is a great way to present an accessible community event! The event is organized by Yoga Tree: The Interior Wellness Magazine, Let’s Move Studio and The Emotional Cleanse. Cara Beckett and Elizabeth Beeds are the Festival Organizers. Throughout the weekend we will enjoy the presentations of local keynote speakers as well as workshops by local teachers. Healthy food and live music are available for the entire weekend. There will also be a Marketplace open for the weekend with such items as yoga clothing, crystals, metaphysical supplies, food supplements, books and more. In a Healing Garden, practitioners will be offering their services for attendees at $1 a minute, with practitioners receiving 50% of the proceeds. You are invited to attend. As a Health Provider, you have the following options: • • • • •
Booth/display Sales table in the Marketplace An opportunity to be a presenter or speaker An opportunity to be a Practitioner in the Healing Garden An opportunity to be involved as a volunteer (needed for reception and room management)
If you are interested in any of these opportunities to put your business in front of a large group of people interested in wellness, please apply online. Reduce your rate by $10 . Do you have your own table? If you do it must be a standard event folding table - not round and no more than 2 feet deep and MUST be delivered to the site, labelled with your name by 9pm on Thursday June 16. Otherwise you will be charged $10 for table rental. Table covers are not provided.
Sponsorship High profile community involvement! Help with advertising and promotions you will be featured in: Yoga Tree Magazine, Kamloops This Week, Kamloops Daily News, The Echo, LOOK Kamloops, Issues Magazine, TV, Radio, FaceBook, Twitter, website, newsletters, brochures and flyers! In addition you will be given PRIORITY table location, presentation time, and special mentions throughout the festival. Healing Garden Last year we were booked solid in the healing garden with line-ups all weekend! You can apply to be a Practitioner and have the opportunity to work directly with potential customers and give them an introduction to your services. Clients will be charged $1 a minute, with a minimum of 10 minute blocks. You will receive 50% of the money earned! The basic cost for you as a practitioner is $40 which includes just 2 feet of space on a shared table for your brochures. This is the minimum amount of space required and is a very small spce only room for brochures. If you’d like more space such as 3, 4 or 6 feet then you can book that! See the prices page. Let us know your service as well as times you are available - make sure you book in your own breaks as well as time to be at your table!
Presentations and Workshops Apply to be a presenter or workshop leader! We are looking for professional, well-prepared classes, workshops and talks given by dynamic and confident leaders in our community. Give us a couple of options for talks and times you are availlable. Locations are both in the studio as well as in the outdoor movement tent! You must have a paid table space in order to be a presenter. The minimum space for that is the 2 feet of brochure space for $40. Presenters who purchase sponsorship packages will be given priority times as well as special advertising. If you are interested in any of these opportunities please apply online. Applications for speakers/presenters must be in by May 30th, and you will be notified immediately after that if your application has been accepted. Table space applications will be taken until June 6, or until all spaces have been filled.
