T h e Fe s t i va l Welcome to the 4th annual Interior Wellness Festival, a unique and dynamic health promoting event. September 27 - 29, 2012. Three days of transformational wellness. Featuring healthy living seminars and workshops, a vibrant, interactive marketplace for information, demonstrations and sales; a Healing Garden and Intuitives Insight Area with over 30 practitioners working to provide holistic treatments; Yoga and fitness classes and also a cafe with fresh food and live entertainment. The festival has become a unique favourite in the Kamloops area and throughout BC Interior. The Interior Wellness Festival is a community event, a fundraiser for local organizations and is free to attend, encouraging easy access for all.
LOCATION The best location for conferences and events in Kamloops: Thompson Rivers University, Campus Activity Centre. With more free parking than any other venue, easy access, central location, as well as onsite accommodations, TRU is our ideal location. The Campus Activity Centre features the Grand Hall for our expanded marketplace and entertainment; the Terrace houses the peaceful healing garden; while seminars, speakers, workshops and fitness classes happen in 3 adjoining workshop rooms! PROMOTION AND CONNECTION The Interior Wellness Festival is the best place in Kamloops and BC Interior to feature and promote health and wellness businesses. You'll have an enjoyable weekend connecting with the crowd of over 2000 expected guests.

Marketplace It's more than a Wellness Fair... It's A Festival! With entertainers, seminars, workshops and fitness classes all offered to attendees for free, the Festival will be bringing in many more people than could be expected at a trade show-type of event. A large Healing Garden and Intuitive Insight area adds warmth and the entertainment and cafe add vitality while workshops pique interest that induces attendees to stay and return multiple times throughout the whole weekend! With a crowd of over 2000 people expected, this is an unprecedented opportunity in Kamloops for wellnessbased businesses to meet new potential clients. The Marketplace features booths and tables for you to display and sell your goods, meet new clients, promote your business, offer coupons to bring people into your place of business, and generally make contact with potential customers at a really low cost for a three-day event. You'll want a booth if you would like to have people standing or sitting in your area or being worked on (tables/chairs are included). Examples of businesses that may want a booth are those bringing machines or equipment they plan to demonstrate, those selling clothing or a wide variety of items, those offering services at their booth (such as ear-reflexology) that require a client to have space to sit or lie down; or those who want to host a major display. You'll want a table if you prefer a small display with handouts. If you are a practitioner or an Intuitive, you may want to take advantage of the Healing Garden and Intuitive Insight Area as low-cost table space is available for Practitioners and Intuitives working in the Healing Garden/Intuitive Insight Area.

Seminars & Workshops
Professional and Dynamic Presenters...Inspiring Information Informational Seminars and Workshops are a great way to promote your knowledge and expertise and therefore, your business! If you are a dynamic speaker with a health and wellness based message, we'd like to hear from you. People love to hear others speak about their health and wellness passion. The Festival attendees might enjoy hearing YOU! Especially if you have new health and wellness information or skills that people need to know. We have a number of different venues available in the Campus Activity Center for presentations.
Please note that all speakers and workshop presenters must have purchased a table or booth in the Marketplace or Healing Garden in order to present. Offer a seminar or workshop and attract potential clients with your knowledge at no additional cost beyond your table or booth fee! (Marketplace or Healing Garden). The Festival Guide Book, with widespread distribution, will showcase you and your seminar or workshop. To be listed in the Festival Guide, you must have submitted details and fully paid prior to August 27, the deadline for the Festival Guide Book printing. All seminars or workshops will be free for Festival attendees. Seminars should have both educational and interactive components. You are encouraged to provide a take-away for attendees, and you may offer that takeaway for attendees from your table in the Marketplace area, to encourage attendees to visit your table after your talk.

Yoga and Fitness Classes Offer your services as an instructor of our Fitness classes. We expect a large turnout of all ages and are excited to offer a diverse line-up of classes in yoga, zumba, pilates, bellydance, fitness and more all offered in 45 minute classes which will start on the hour, every hour for free to the public. Some Yoga mats and props might be available. Please keep equipment needs simple and consider bringing your own set of props needed. There will be a stereo provided for music. All sign up, registration and scheduling is taken care of by our team. A GREAT WAY TO MARKET YOURSELF! As an instructor, your involvement includes: • Marketing and promotion in all the festival promotional materials • Festival guide magazine, newspaper, radio, TV, website, Facebook & more • An opportunity to be part of an event that promotes health, wellness and fitness in the community • An opportunity to meet new clients and expand your market • Connection and networking within the BC Interior Wellness community! The Interior Wellness Festival is a FREE community event and is a fundraiser for local charities. You do not need to pay for table/info space in the marketplace to participate and you will not be paid for teaching. We do encourage you to be involved with the festival by having an info table in the marketplace - the perfect way to reach new clients in person while enjoying a weekend of community connections.
Those instructors who choose to participate in the Festival by having a booth or table space in the marketplace will be given priority in scheduling as well as priority for offering classes - we will have more instructors apply than we have times available for. Please see the table sizes and booth spaces noted in the Marketplace details and sign up using the marketplace form IN ADDITION to the Fitness classes form in order to sign up. Let us know what days and times you are available. We will do our best to accommodate if you are working or have other commitments. Healing Garden & Intuitive’s Insight Area

Offer your services as a Practitioner in our Healing Garden. We expect a large turnout of all ages and are excited to offer a diverse line-up of healing, alternative therapies, massage, intuitive readings and more all offered at $1.00 - 1.50 per minute. The event is held at the Thompson Rivers University Campus Activity Centre - The Healing Garden will take over the entire Terrace room this year! 1350 sq ft of private space and will include a calm and secluded resting area/tea lounge. All of the healing-pods which include massage tables or chairs and tables are provided for you, fully decorated. You only need to bring your own sheets and towels if you use those and any other special supplies. Make sure you are mobile since you will only be assigned to a healing pod when you have clients which means you will be moved around according to the schedule. All payments, registration and scheduling is taken care of by our team. It is our intention to create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility where you can share your healing gifts in an organized and ambient setting. We are looking forward with anticipation to sharing this time with you and our community! A GREAT WAY TO MARKET YOURSELF: As a practitioner, your involvement includes • Marketing and promotion in all the festival promotional materials • Festival guide magazine, newspaper, radio, TV, website, Facebook and more • Space on your Healing Garden promo-table to promote your services all weekend • An opportunity to be part of an event that promotes health, wellness and spirituality • An opportunity to meet new clients and expand your market • Connection and networking within the BC Interior Wellness community! The Interior Wellness Festival is a FREE community event and is a fundraiser for local charities. We appreciate what you bring to the festival through your services and so we are happy to share the income with you. Treatments are all $1 - $1.5 per minute. You get 50%. You will need to pay an entry fee which gives you a promotional table space as well as all of your advertising and inclusion in the Festival Guide Book (provided you have applied before August 27, 2013). The minimum to be involved is just $75 for the entire weekend – this gives you 2 feet of promotional table space which surrounds the Healing Garden to display your materials, hand out info, make a draw box…whatever inspires you! You might not spend much time at this spot since you will also be in the Healing Garden but you are welcome to have a friend, family-member or colleague cover your info space. It is also ok to put up a sign “In session, will return at…” and put a time there! We do not guarantee that you will be working all weekend. We do not guarantee the amount of hours you will end up working. You are also encouraged to purchase MORE space so you can spread out more, but 2 feet is the minimum. 2 feet is a very small space so try it out at home with your brochures! We encourage you to decorate your table spot with anything that represents you! If you would like more space than just 2', please see the larger table sizes and booth spaces noted in the Marketplace details. If you also wish to offer a seminar or workshop, you need to fill that form; you only need to pay once. Once you’ve decided on the amount of info table space that you need and also when you will be available to give treatments (remember to schedule your own food and rest breaks in) you can sign up. Once this is complete and we have received your payment, your space will be guaranteed and we will advertise for you. Consider being an entertainer or performer at the Wellness Festival. A stage and performance area will be set up right in the midst of the vibrant marketplace in our Healthy Cafe! Our patrons will enjoy your performance while they rest and rehydrate at the tables. We are excited to offer an exciting line up of high-quality performances to entertain the guests. The Interior Wellness Festival is a wonderful spot to introduce yourself to our guests, with over 2000 expected over the weekend. It's a great place to make sure people hear or see you at your best.
