History

Peruvian gastronomy At this point, be or not a bachelor, you must know everythin, or almost something, about food. It's cleer that we are not trying to presue you to go to these restaurants but try to include them on your schedule. We have evaluated economical situation of tourist so we are going to consider one for luxury dinner and another more standart. Take atention to the style of food so it will have your preferences:

We think that before your trip you should know some history of some parts of Peru like:

Macchu Picchu This ruin was discovered by Hiram Bingham. Machu Picchu means Quechua Cerro Viejo, these ruins are ancient citadels of the Incas, where large populations lived. It is currently considered one of the 7 wonders of the modern world. It is visited daily by many people as foreign nationals. It was a resting place of the Inca Pachacutec.

The Nazca Lines

These giant geoglyphs are famous for being engraved on the ground representing ceremonial paths, this theory was held by its discoverer Toribio Mejia Xesspe in 1927. The lines of Nazca are located in a very desolate place. One of the theories of its creation of these pampas is for the realization of rituals and offerings to ingratiate with the Gods of the sky, water and earth. It has not been ruled out that some lines are related to the astronomical movements as supported by the explorers Maria Reiche and Paul Cosot.

The Chancay Castle

The Chancay Castle was built for the great-granddaughter of the viceroy Amat, for her husband as a symbol of love and power, since he always went to battle. The great-granddaughter always expected him with much love to her husband, in his spare time he dedicated himself to making poems and taking care of his children. Also in front of the Castle of Chancay sank the Cobadonga, you can see three buoys, which represents the place where it is sunk.

Arequipa: Arequipa province is most-known for its

spicy food. It's unrealistic to say everything but food from there have that little spicy taste. For example, there is a dish called "Rocoto Relleno". Rocoto is a primitive – as far we know – vegetable that grows in Los Andes and keep in mind that is as spicy as chile. Another option is "ocopa": a mix of huacatay, mirasol chilli, yellow chilli, peanuts, vanilla coockies (or bread), mild, cheese and garlic made a run-of-tha-mill cream. You can try them at Casta Fior for a luxury and beautiful dinner or at Hatunpa for a kind a fast food (but less hazardous for your health)

NAZCA:This place is most-known for our representative drink: pisco sour. This drink is ideal for celebrations but you can drink it whenever you want. Nazca was a slave colony so its food is related with african customs and/or style. A representative dish is "carapulcra" that is made of dry potatoe, peanuts, panca chilli, pork, and other spices. I'd love to recommend you remote restaurant so you can also do some sightseeing pretty far away. "Ritmo y sabor" is a known restaurant very far from city. Keep in mind that Nazca y smaller than Arequipa so, as far we know, there is not expensive restaurants for have a time with your soulmate. Cuzco: Chemistry between food and health can be discovered in Cuzco. No matter if you travel sick to Cuzco because there is the most delicious pill: food. Let's start with "Caldo de gallina": it's a simple soup with a big piece of hen, spaghettis, potatoe, ginger, and more ingredients. This mix is curiously healer when you have a flue. As a main dish you can ask for "olluco con charqui" and rice that is basiclly olluco (a tuber) and charqui (generally dry llama meat). "El Tupay" is a nice restaurant. Not that fancy but it has still "status". waykiss (not way-kiss, just waykiss) is a cheap option for backpackers.

CUSCO

It's overrun with tourists. Do you know why the most touristic city in Peru is? Yes my friend, by Machu Picchu, but Cusco is not only that. You can go there in 22 hours by bus or if you want on a flight. When you arrive there, I know that you will go to Machu Picchu first but after that, we offer many activities to do. Go to the Sacred Valley or take a little trip to Ollantaytambo but if you are more adventurous and like to jeopardize your life, make rafting in the Urubamba river or even bungee jumping. What we have in mind for the children and all the family in general, is riding a horse in the Valley and take a day in a quad.

7

The nightlife in Cusco is excellent and is recognized as the craziest place to party in Peru. There are bars, restaurants, and clubs around the Plaza de Armas and is near to the hotels. *The rafting consists in descend by a river aboard a boat to rowing. *Bungee jumping is an activity that involves jumping from a tall structure while connected to a large elastic cord.
