The Great Yorkshire Fringe site, encompassing all venues, is located on Parliament Street in York City Centre.
York is an ancient city at the heart of North Yorkshire, rich in history, and lucky to have great events and festivals for locals and tourists alike. Known for its cobbled streets, architecture including the magnificent iconic York Minster and range of attractions,York is a vibrant city, just a couple of hours from London. York is well-serviced by public transport, and getting around this small city once you’re here is easy. All three Fringe venues are within a few minutes walk of each other.
By Train Direct Rail trains run to York from the majority of the UK’s big cities, including Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The East Coast main line that runs between London and Scotland also stops in York, amongst many other destinations. The train station is a short 5 to 10 minute walk from the City Centre, although buses and taxis will be available from the station.
By Bus Bus services in York stretch across Yorkshire, from the coast, Leeds and Hull, and stop in the City Centre, as well as local buses that travel to the outskirts of town, surrounding villages and local shopping centres.
By Coach York offers a number of coach travel options and all have similar pick-up points at, or very near, the Train Station.
By Car The closest car park to Parliament Street is situated on Piccadilly, a 5 minute walk away.
Alternatively,York uses a Park & Ride service, found on the outskirts of town, which offers free parking and a short 10 minute bus ride directly into the town centre. The Pop Up Shop is open Tuesday – Saturday 10.30am – 3.30pm until 19 July, when it moves to the Great Yorkshire Fringe Box Office on site in Parliament Street. The Box Office is located at the centre of the site.
The Great Yorkshire Fringe shows are in three venues, The White Rose Rotunda, The Turn Pot and The Tea Pot. All venues are within a few minutes walk of each other.
Please check your tickets for the correct venue for the event you have booked for.
All venues have full disabled access. All tickets are Print at Home
Your Print at Home option can be found in your confirmation email by clicking the link at the top of the email. This opens a printable PDF. Should your print at home option not work please ensure that you bring some valid ID and your reference number and you will be able to collect your tickets at the Box Office.
PLEASE NOTE: Once purchased, to gain entry to the event you must present your ticket plus ID matching the name on the booking at the point of entry. If someone else will be attending on your behalf please contact the Box Office.
Booking Fees
All tickets purchased over the phone or through the website are subject to a booking fee.There is no charge for booking in person at the Pop Up Shop or Fringe Box Office during the dates of the Fringe. Online & Phone 10% | Minimum fee £1 Groups bookings should contact the Box Office. All booking fees are capped at £4 per ticket. There are no additional transaction charges.
Refunds and Exchanges
If for any reason you are unable to attend an event for which you hold tickets please contact the Box Office who will advise on how best to proceed. Please contact the box office direct on boxoffice@greatyorkshirefringe.com or 01904 500600.
Resales
Tickets are non-transferable. If you sell or purchase tickets for this event via a reseller such as Seatwave,Viagogo, GetMeIn, TicketsNow, StubHub or Ebay or any outlet other than the Great Yorkshire Fringe or one of its authorised agents the ticket will be cancelled without refund.
