Hanging with Hannah has another throw back park this month. We are looking at Fulham Way Playground in Wollert. Hannah spent a lovely morning there playing on the equipment and looking at kangaroos. Remember the park is an awesome place to take the kids for some fresh air, over the holidays and it cost nothing. Hanging with Hannah canbefoundonpage8.

This months throw back park has Hannah vising Fulham Way Playground in Wollert on a very windy spring day. The playground is quite small, however, Hannah loved playing in the gardens ... jumping on and walking over all the rocks and logs lying on the ground. The playground offers a basket swing and 2 more swings, a spinner, 2 slides, 2 monkey bars and an assortment of different climbing equipment. Other facilies include in the play space are 2 picnic tables with seang and a couple of park benches. However, this park does not have rubbish bins, drinking fountains, a sheltered area or toilets. *Hannah’shighlightfromthetripandthismonthsp-keepa lookoutforthemobofkangaroosthatpassbytheparkinthe open grassed area behind the park. It was a very excing but unexpectedsurprise!

as ensuring our kids get a great start the Andrews Labor Government is ensuring the there are opportunities for Victorians wanting to start, or change, their career

One of the great things about my job is that I get to help make real change in our community. Helping our kids achieve their potential is one of the many things that motivates me.The Andrews Labor Government will always invest in our kids because we believe the best start leads to the best life.

With high childcare fees and the rising cost of living it’s important we create opportunities for parents, particularly mums, to return to work and make it financially worthwhile.

The Victorian Government is making big changes to early childhood education to help our kids get the best start in life, while also reducing costs.

Up until now the high cost of childcare has worked against mums returning to the workforce.

The Andrews Labor Government has introduced fee-free TAFE courses in areas of need. Early childhood education and care is one of these areas.

This is the Andrews Government making certain our kids get access to early learning as well as supporting every parent’s desire to see their kids achieve their full potential.

Following recommendations of the Mental Health Royal Commission the Andrews Labor Government is committed to ensuring our kids get access to great, preventative care which can help prevent the development of more serious health concerns down the track.

As part of the Andrews Government commitment to investing in our kids’ futures we are rolling out free 3 & 4yo Kinder.

The opportunity now exists for those seeking a fulfilling career in early childhood education to enrol in a fee-free course at a local TAFE which will enable them to attain their qualifications in time to take advantage of the many jobs that will be created as a result of the large expansion in Kinder across our great Asstate.well

This includes free three- and four-year-old kinder from 2023, this will save families up to $2500 per year, per Thischild.isinaddition

Children enrolled in funded three-year-old Kindergarten in 2022 & 2023 will receive a Kinder Kit, a colourful carrycase jam-packed with educational toys and resources to celebrate that kindergarten in Victoria now starts at age three.

The Andrews Labor Government recognises that good dental hygiene is one indicator of good general health, but good teeth also improve self-confidence especially in our teen years and beyond. That’s why we are ensuring kids in government schools are getting access to dental care through the Smile Squad.

Although I am not recontesting the November 20022 election, I’m still here until then to help with state and local issues.
