Hello & Welcome to Our August Magazine, Can you believe it's already August! With life being busy all the time it is important to remember to take time out for yourself. This month's magazine has some great articles to look at while you sit down for a quick cuppa. Aurora in the Kitchen made some delicious Naked LCM Bars, perfect as a healthy snack for the kids can be found on page 27 and in Kids Corner this month we have a fun Olympics Crossword! The lucky winner of our Kokey Koala Competition is Simon of Rosanna. Congratulations Simon we know you will enjoy this wonderful book. With the arrival of winter and the cooler months it's so much harder to get out with the little ones. However, Freddy and I spent a lovely afternoon at the park the other day in the cold windy weather (we just missed the rain!) Freddy wasn't phased at all and it was a great chance to release some energy that had built up from being cooped inside. The local park is a great way for a quick play in between local showers and it can make such a difference. (If wet always remember to pack gumboots, a coat and towel- to dry off play equipment.) Fun with Freddy can be found on page 25. I really hope you enjoy this issue. Caryn also really enjoys trea ng pregnant women, helping them through this transi onal period in their life as their bodies change and adapt to pregnancy. Caryn commonly finds she treats pregnant and breast-feeding women for condi ons such as neck and back pain and dysfunc on, abdominal pain, breathing issues, pelvic and pubic symphysis dysfunc on and pelvic floor issues to name just a few. Due to her training at the well-known European School of Osteopathy in the UK, Caryn takes a holis c approach in viewing and trea ng the body and integrates these concepts into her treatments. Naked LCM Bars ·2 servings vanilla Complete protein powder ·6 cups rice cereal (gluten- free no added sugar) ·cup raw honey ·cup creamy peanut butter 1.Mix cereal and vanilla complete in a large bowl and set aside. 2. In a small pot, warm the honey. Add peanut butter and stir until combined. 3. Pour mixture over the cereal and stir well incorporated. Spread mixture evenly into a 25x32cm pan. Place in the refrigerator and cut when ready.
