Dear readers Welcome to June 2015 and the first month of winter. I hope you are all prepared for the cold months ahead. As for the month of May you would be forgiven if you thought it was spring such was the great weather we enjoyed. Another great way to keep your kids warm and active this winter is to enrol them into swimming lessons at Westerfolds Sports Centre, swimming is not just a fun physical activity but an essential life skill in the prevention of childhood drowning. Prepare your child NOW by enrolling them in to swim lessons, suitable for all school ages. It is so important to teach your children to take good care of their teeth and a great way to do this is to get regular check-ups at the dentist. Why not contact Smile Style dental or Sweet Smile Dental Clinic they both offer amazing service and orthodontic care. It is also important to visit the optometrist every two years for a check. Optical In Sight in Donvale has been servicing our community since 1991 and caters for patients from newborn to aged care. Following on from its wonderful success at MC Square, the 'Pop Up Park' will be popping up at Bulleen Plaza during the winter school holidays. The inside of Bulleen Plaza will be transformed into a free family games and arts space on Wednesday 1 July through to Friday 3 July, from 11.00 am until 2.00 pm.
