Happy New Year! I hope our readers all have a wonderful holiday. Some of you may have gone back to work and are still in the holiday mood. Some of you are still enjoying the last few days. Well, kids are going back to school so yay! Every day I took kids out for some fun, you know, museums, Sealife, Legoland, Zoo, play centres, beaches, parks etc. I did fight for an afternoon nap whenever I can, even on the couch of a play centre. With a four-year-old and a five-year-old, I have been completely exhausted. Their fun is my routine. But, do I regret? My husband always says, he wishes the kids are ten or older, so he can have more reasonable fun with them, and argue probably with them. But I never agreed. They are at their best time. We are at our best time. I do not regret spending all the time with them, seeing them laugh, cry, argue, grow and play. I have had a wonderful break. How about you?

The annual Chinese New Year celebration is the most important cultural festival for the Chinese community. It celebrates the coming of the New Year and has rituals, traditions and ceremonies designed to bring new luck and good fortune for the upcoming year.

小编随笔
来墨尔本整整十个年头。在这个地方读书，恋爱，结婚，工作， 定居，生子。现在说起家乡，已经有些模糊。家乡是那个从未住过的乡 村吗？家乡是那个住了九年的镇子吗？家乡是那个住了十年的城市吗？ 家乡是那个求学四年的大都市吗？从来没有忘记这些地方的一点一滴， 午夜梦回，也常常还是那个跟朋友一起打闹的初中生。可是这些地方， 都不可能回去了。回去一两周，这算回去吗？所有记忆的地方，都已经 物是人非，这些年国内发展很大，每个地方都是翻天覆地的变化，不只 高楼大厦，还有乡土人情。如果不是每次回去都有相聚的那几位老友， 我在家乡，是孤独的。朋友说，你怎么都没怎么变？样子，脾气都是十 几年前的样子。我想这是一种赞美。生活没有太多风波，我得以保存初 心。岁月的杀猪刀，尽管还是留下了痕迹，可是眼里的星星还在。 这让我不免想，如果不是生活在墨尔本这个城市，我是不是还能这 么幸运。这个是景好人好的地方，它不只“从前慢”，现在也慢。一家 老店可以开很多年，一辆火车哐当哐当可以开很久，一套房子可以住一 辈子，然后孩子继续在附近繁衍生活。深圳工作的老友来墨尔本，一天 就把市中心走遍，难以置信地问我：“这就是整个维州最繁华的地 方？！”同龄的我们，我晚上十点多午睡的时候，她们说才开始夜生 活。一位老友已经做到高管，她问我：“你每天这么早下班，这么多假 期，都用来干什么呀？”我想了想，真的也没干什么，陪陪孩子，看看 书，抽空旅游一下，跟一些朋友聚会，有时候就是发呆看夕阳，或者去 市中心饕餮一次。朋友说，这真的就是在生活，不只是生存。但末了她 也说，但她过不下去这样的生活。 年轻的我们做了自己的选择，生活成了一种习惯，我们以为自己还 可以四处流浪，但中年一到，却已经习惯在日常中找到熟悉的依赖。我 没有想要变。这样就很好。每次出去旅游，过了一段时间就会想念墨尔 本的蓝天白云，每次回来，车开在熟悉的路上，心里莫名的安全与舒适 感，这便是家吧。墨尔本，还有我爱的人，老公，女儿，儿子。他们是 我对这个城市心安的最重要原因。我们一起走过的每条路，玩过的每个 公园，吃过的每个餐厅，就是我生活的每一个小细节，这些细节真实也 踏实。 此心安处，便是家吧。
