Hi, Half way through term 2, woohoo!. Some of you might have kids just finished their Naplan. How did it go? Some parents put more value on it than others. No joking but I have seen parents preparing their kids for Naplan since they are in grade 1. What they aim for is that tip top position of the blocks. And if that’s you, best wishes! Please remember, it is completely alright to say that you care about your children’s education so much. Some of you may not. Well it is just another test. It can’t determine if my child is a kind, caring person with an interesting soul. True. I agree with this kind of opinions too. Whatever makes you happy, let it stay. Sickness is not a nice visitor so take great care of yourself and your family. Until next time,

想要修炼绝世武功，你要寻找《葵花宝典》，当然，要有自宫的准 备；想要普渡众生，修道成佛，你要去西天取《瑜伽师地论》，当然，有 九九八十一难等着你；养孩子这事吧，你可以毫无招式，可以花拳绣腿， 但也总有人想要取得一本《育儿宝册》，好叫我们做父母的永不犯错，孩 子成龙成凤。 可惜，就像现在的江湖一样，太极雷大师打不过格斗手徐晓东，宝典 这种东西越来越靠不住。而且江湖越乱，越有人从中占山为王，随便说几 句话就说自己是育儿大师了。微信上公众号的育儿文章，还少吗？我最烦 就是别人发这些给我看。好像隐藏台词就是：“你教孩子还教得不够好 哦！”而且这些文章，真知灼见少，哗众取宠多。稍微想一下不就明白了 么？你如果题目起得不够刺激眼球，文章写得不够偏激少闻，谁会转发你 的文章？大多数，大多数就是在引起你的焦虑感，让你觉得自己这个父母 做得还不够好，看后大有感触，转发完回头就忘了。 所以我不看微信这种文章。不过，不能因噎废食，不能因为有一些人 假扮权威乱写的东西就否定所有的育儿书。我最近买到了两本书，甚是不 错，这里跟大家共享。作者是澳大利亚的史蒂夫 比达尔夫，一本叫《养育 女孩》，一本是《养育男孩》。我只看了女儿的部分，儿子的还没开始 看，无法评论。不过女儿部分说的是很好的。

首先，它讲婴儿时期就没有提倡什么睡眠学校，那种让你孩子哭，你 一段时间再出现，再让孩子哭，延长一点时间再出现，这样孩子就能睡着 了。这是什么破理论。史蒂夫的意见跟我很像，孩子小时候最需要的就是 安全感，如果你给他的信息是“你再怎么喊也不会有人来救你的”，那么 小孩子是安静了，可是她已经把自己封闭起来了。有兴趣的再去看看其它 研究吧。 我的女儿六岁，所以我特别关注史蒂夫说的这段时期的女孩子的成 长，他说到了友谊的重要性，刚看完这章，碰巧那天晚上女儿就来找我说 她的好朋友不开心。平时的我总是想给一些意见的。不过史蒂夫建议说多 倾听，让孩子说，不要总是插嘴，于是我一直听，然后给出最基本的几条 交友准则，比如多为朋友着想，但同时一个人可以同时有几个朋友等等。 之后就是相信孩子自己能去解决了。跟女儿试了一下，效果竟然非常好。 这本书再看下去，甚有一种相见恨晚的感觉。了解的不只是女儿，还 有我自己。原先那时青春期会出现这样的现象是因为如此如此。其实我最 担心的，就是女儿是在澳洲长大，我固然可以以自己以前的经验来处理她 的问题，但环境不同了，如何去处理文化的不同？比如女孩子需不需要男 性朋友？为什么十几岁的时候有一项自己喜欢的运动非常重要。还有教会 女儿坚守自己心底底线，相信自己的直觉。每一条建议和案例看了都受益 匪浅。 我相信儿子和女儿是不一样的。他们现在就已经显现出非常不同的性 格，我的女儿敏感但是极其有同情心，儿子粗枝大叶可是领导能力很强， 我已经迫不及待想看看《养育男孩》这本书讲的是什么了。 所以江湖上也不是没有育儿宝册，只是需要慢慢淘，幸好没有放弃， 心里清晰了许多。有兴趣的读者可以买本去看看吧。
