December really is the most exciting month - with all the child like wonder, excitement and anticipation. If only it wasn’t also the most hectic time of the year! The magazine this month has some great reading, on page 6 The Joy of Giving?. On page 8 there is interesting article about Choosing the right toy for Christmas. We have some great Survival Tip for the Summer Holidays on page 18 and we continue with our informative snake articles on page 20, Snake Bite First Aid. Christmas is the favourite time of year for children, Kids Corner has a Santa colouring in to do and when that is completed maybe mum or dad can help them decorate a ‘Letter to Santa’ see page 12 for some ideas. The community has a lot going on at this time of year - be sure to fick through to page 22 for What’s On. Hannah has been out and about again this month enjoy our amazing local parks and playgrounds. One beau ful sunny morning she headed over to Diosma Park in Mill Park. The playground is brightly coloured, neat and dy. There are 2 slides and swings, a monkey bar, fireman’s pole, train rocker, 4WD car rocker (can sit 4 children in), climbing wall and climbing net. The park also has a picnic table and a park bench, but there are no toilets and no shade. Diosma Park has a warm neighbourhood feel about it. Hannah’s p for the month - You can not be a true ‘Park Fashionista’ if you don’t wear sun glasses when it is sunny!
