With school back in full swing and all the after school activities, it is hard to remember that you need time too. Have a look at the article on page 22 ‘Is self-care a theme coming up for you?’ Life is busy! - hopefully you can spare a few quiet minutes, to sit down and enjoy some of the fantastic reading in this months magazine. Put your money where your heart is ... Shop Local can be found on page 6. Pages 8 & 14 have helpful articles related to winter health and I found the article on page 12 Living with childhood cancer very interesting and informative. This month we celebrate both ‘Book Week’ and ‘Science Week’. What’s On page 20 has some exciting activities for the community at your local library. Kids Corner this month is also getting into celebrating science week with a Slime recipe to make. Hannah’s park report this month had her visiting the Stables Adventure Playground, Mill Park. Where she spent two hours creating her own little storybook adventures in the farm structure. (it is truly amazing to watch a child’s imagination blossom!) h a n n a H h t i w Hanging The Stables Adventure Park Civic Drive, Mill Park
What a chilly day out - Hannah ventured to The Stables Adventure Park ... and what an adventure it was! There are lots of rockers, 2 slides, a fireman’s pole, 2 swings, a small flying fox and climbing equipment. Hannah’s favourite thing was playing games in the stable structure. Pretending to be the giant ... (Fe Fi Fo Fum), the 3 Li le Pigs, The Gingerbread Man and Old Mc Donald. It was fantas c to see the books we are reading at home being part of her outdoor play. Other facili es include; 2 undercover shelters, 3 tables, a BBQ, a rubbish bin and many park benches for watching your child play. There is also a large grassed area, great for playing ball games. However, the park does not have toilets. Hannah’s p - Don’t forget your imagina on and a warm coat!

Savoury PastaSauce Ingredients 500g minced beef 1 can of diced tomatoes 1 onion 1 zucchini 1 red capsicum 2 tsp minced garlic minced chilli/ground chilli or chilli akes mixed herbs/Italian herbs tomato sauce Worcestershire sauce Pasta baby spinach Parmesan cheese
Method Step 1 - Dice onions, zucchini and capsicum. Step 2 - Brown mince in a saucepan on the stove (keep s rring so it does not burn.) Step 3 - Mix in onion and minced garlic. Step 4 - Mix in can of diced tomatoes. Step 5 - Mix in zucchini, capsicum. Step 6 - Mix in herbs, chili, tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce to taste. Step 7 - Leave to simmer, while you boil pasta. Step 8 - To plate up - strain pasta, and place into a bowl, top with a few spoons of Savoury Pasta Sauce. Then garnish with baby spinach and Parmesan cheese.

What you will need - 1 bo le Elmer’s white glue (the foam kind, not the gel or cream) - 1/2 cup - 1 cup of Shaving foam - Borax solu on (1 cup water & 1tsp Borax, mixed un l clear) - Food colouring/paint (op onal) - Essen al oils (op onal)
How to make Fluffy Slime Squeeze 1bo le of white glue into a medium bowl. S r in 1/2 cup to 1 cup of shaving foam (depending on how fluffy you want your slime.) Add food colouring to colour desired and s r. Add Borax solu on a teaspoon at a me (un l the mixture forms a clump in the bowl.) Knead your Fluffy Slime.
Helpful Hints & Ideas If it’s too s cky, add more Borax solu on. If it need more glue, shaving cream or colouring you can knead that in. If you would like your Fluffy Slime to be scented, knead in a few drops of essen al oil. You can even kneed in texture - sand, gli er, foam balls, beads or even sequences.
