Edi EdittorsLetter orsLetter Welcome to the September magazine, How exciting is it ... Spring has finally arrived! Spring is a great time of year, as we are more likely to venture outside. Riding and walking to school becomes more attractive and going to park becomes a weekend must. Hannah visited Taunton Park in Bundoora this month, Hanging with Hannah can be found on page 10. If you have a favourite park for Hannah to come and visit, please email us to let us know where it is - info@yourchildinwhittlesea.com.au. This month there is an interesting article for parents on the 5 Ways to Advocate for your Child with a Disability on page 6, and a fantastic read on page 20 What is the importance of Art in a Public Spaces? On page 26, Kids Corner there is a Fairy Tale Castle colouring in page and Father’s Day Activity to fill in and give to your dad. Should I be teaching my pre-schooler to read and write? page 18, I found helpful as I too question this. Will she be ready? Should I do more? However, I keep in mind that my pre-schooler prefers to spend time reading stories, singing songs and playing make believe, and this too is important for her growth. Your Child in Whittlesea wishes all the dads, step dads, and grandfathers a wonderful Father’s Day,
Rachel
