We’re feeling really grateful to have received your support over the years as we simply couldn’t have done it without you: our lovely readers and brilliant advertisers. York is truly a special place, and we’re so glad that we get to tell you all about it each month. To celebrate, we asked the team to tell us their favourite moments at Your Local Link so far: Gary from distribution “My favourite moment so far was definitely when Simon from the distribution team got spotted in a bush on the roadside. He was trying to catch a Pokemon on his PokemonGo app.”

Nick from design “Playing table tennis at the new office with Dean was a highlight, winning the Your Local Link Bake-off, and the day we got to build a snowman.”
Krystal from editorial “My favourite moment has got to be seeing David Attenborough at the Yorkshire Museum for the opening of Yorkshire’s Jurassic World in 2018.”
Zoe from design “It was definitely my surprise baby shower that the team organised. I had absolutely no idea it was going to happen, and it was such a lovely surprise.”

2021 Like many businesses, we’re celebrating the fact that we survived a pandemic! It’s been tough, but we’re looking forward to what the future brings.

2003 Back when Your Local Link began in Tracy’s spare room, we had a little strip at the bottom of each page with inspirational little poems that stated why our magazine was so useful. Here are a few: •“Don’t worry and think, just look in the Link” •“Need something sensational – the Link’s educational”
2017 November 2017 saw us hit an audience of a whopping 90,000 doorsteps!
2010 Your Local Link began to look like the magazine we know and love now, with its large image on the front cover and a contents page.
2009 This year, we trialled a square-shaped magazine. That’s right, Your Local Link was a square. A square. SQUARE. It didn’t catch on.
