After a brief closure, Obicà Poland Street celebrated its 10th anniversary with a brand-new look when they re-opened the doors of their Soho location the end of March this year. The new architecture in this completely renewed space features industrial and outdoor materials which create the typical and informal atmosphere of Italian piazzas and arcades. Essentially reflecting good taste in a minimalist and contemporary design with bricks, black iron and pendant lamps, the simple lines mimic simple but contemporary cuisine
Mozzarella aficionados will be delighted by this exclusive Italian restaurant and pizzeria situated over two floors in the heart of Soho where guests can enjoy high-quality, authentic Italian food in the mozzarella bar including the freshest and best Mozzarella di Campana DOP with a selection of mozzarella di bufala classica, mozzarella di bufala affumicata (smoked) and treccia di bufala (mozzarella di bufala braid). Various small plates include Bresaola di Chianina IGP (cured Chianina beef); grilled octopus with small burrata, Italian gazpacho and toasted breadcrumb with capers or datterini tomatoes with basil pesto.
A great one to try if you can’t make your mind up between the various mozzarella’s, burrata and small plates is the degustazioni which involves sampling portions of the chef’s signature dishes. The excellent Mozzarella Bar Experience includes a selection of dishes which include a choice of two types of mozzarella, salame Piacentino DOP, Bresaola di Chianina IGP, prosciutto crudo di Parma DOP, bruschetta with pomodorini del piennolo del Vesuvio DOP and Sicilian aubergine caponata and focaccina origano to name a few.
