BUDGET SPEECH
FINANCE MINISTER PRAVIN GORDHAN RECENTLY DELIVERED HIS 2017 BUDGET SPEECH WHICH WILL UNDOUBTEDLY BRING ABOUT DELIGHT TO BOTH HOME BUYERS AND SELLERS. Mr Gordhan highlighted in his speech the value of economic transformation of the economy and stressed the importance of maintaining a culture of exceptional sound fiscal policy. We are extremely excited to see a new government focus on trying to promote home ownership as the basis of personal wealth creation. The biggest step to achieving this goal was outlined in the adjustment of the transfer duty threshold to R900 000.00 (up from R750 000.00) from the 1st of March 2017.
