When he married wife Rosemary in the capital, groom Ian Drever was positively dashing in his floral suit and slip-on shoes – but, unfortunately, he spent the following few days hobbling… “The shoe situation was funny,” smiles Ian. “I needed to convince a few people that no socks and comfy shoes would look good – and it did. But I should have worn them in beforehand. Instead, they went on right out of the box because I wanted them to look good. Everything happens for a reason though, and the situation did lead to some of my favourite wedding photos!” Word to the wise – teeny, tiny socks are available! And always carry plasters.
