The development also includes a 16-pump gas station, and a .93acre out-parcel which will be developed commercially in the future. Costco submitted their official application on Oct. 19, and are expected to submit a more complete application sometime in the next few months. MARTIN COUNTY — Nineteen migrants, mostly men, and a 12-year-old child, were arrested and turned over to U.S. Border Patrol agents, after landing on Jupiter Island Friday morning, according Martin County Sheriff, William D. Snyder. The Sheriff’s Office joined the Border Patrol, Jupiter Island Public Safety Department, Tequesta Police and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office to take into custody 15 Haitian, one Bahamian and one Jamaican
migrant whose boat was spotted by residents just north of Blowing Rocks Preserve, landing near the 400 block of South Beach Road on Jupiter Island. K-9 units were utilized to search for the last few missing refugees after the majority were detained without incident. Snyder said to the best of his knowledge everyone is accounted for, but to keep in mind they didn’t see the landing. “All we have are the statements from the people on the boat,” Snyder said. “And they don’t have a whole lot of motivation to tell
