By Patrick McCallister Staff writer pmccallister@yourvoiceweekly.com The County Commission inched toward a possible breakup with the Business Development Board of Martin County, but commissioner John Haddox, Palm City, said he’d like to save the relationship with new terms. He failed to convince fellow commissioner Anne Scott, Hobe Sound, that the 22-year-old marriage can be saved. “We could spend hours, maybe days, about how this so-called public-private partnership is dysfunctional,” Scott said at the last regular meeting, Tuesday, April 23. Commission Chair Sarah Heard, Port Salerno, said that the board was deaf to the commission.

The Lego Club helps younger children start learning about the applications of science, technology, engineering and math. The Martin County Library System is making at least half of its children and youth programs related to STEM education. Cummings is launching Discover Science @ Your Library, a monthly science lesson, on Wednesday, May 15.
