PALM CITY — Palm City resident Olga Levy Drucker, 85, survived what is arguably history’s greatest genocide. The Holocaust survivor and published author penned her story and is now sharing her tale of hope and perseverance with children across the Treasure Coast. She recently met with more than 150 sixth-grade students at Palm Pointe Educational Research School at Tradition to teach a lesson of love and tolerance. Drucker, a German native, escaped Adolf Hitler’s Holocaust during her childhood years thanks to the “Kindertransport,” a name given to a series of rescue efforts which brought thousands of refugee Jewish children to Great Britain from Nazi Germany between 1938 Mitch Kloorfain/chief photographer and 1940. Holocaust survivor and author Olga Drucker of Palm City presented the story of her youth to the sixth grade students of Palm Pointe Educational Research School in Tradition. See SURVIVOR page 8 Drucker’s book, ‘Kindertransport’, was read by the students during the school year.

Titusville’s Gary Miller got a new air conditioner, and Palm City’s Kevin Sharkey got to thank a 26year Army veteran for his service. “I’m not a veteran, which makes me appreciate what he did all the more,” Sharkey said. “He’s a

Carol Dryburgh, emergency management planner for Martin County, said households should consider, discuss and ready themselves for the big ones long before they’re news. “What are you going to do?” she said. “Are you going to stay? Are you going to go? Are you go-
