Feb. 17 meeting of the Martin County County Commission. “I move that the Board of County Commissioners allocate reserve funds in the amount of $1.4 million to be used in whatever action is necessary to oppose All Aboard Florida, including legal action,” he said at the meeting. ST. LUCIE WEST — This golden ticket didn’t come with a trip to a whimsical chocolate factory, but some got free groceries out of it from St. Lucie West’s newest store. Aldi, the smaller sister grocery store of Trader Joes, was scheduled to open 9 a.m. Friday along St. Lucie West Boulevard, near the Home Depot, and the first 100 visitors were to receive golden tickets, which contained gift certificates. All customers were invited to tour the store and try free samples as well as enter a drawing to win free Aldi produce for a year. The closest Aldi, prior, was in West Palm Beach. The store most closely resembles Save-A-Lot on the Treasure Coast – a small, nofrills grocery store. Aldi, a German company, does not have a deli or bakery onsite, but it specializes in selling com-
