ed circulating that a Wal-Mart grocery store would be opening in St. Lucie West. Talk died down for a while, but the rumors were confirmed at the April 7 Port St. Lucie Planning and Zoning Commission

PORT ST. LUCIE — It’s time to try again — technically again, again. The Port St. Lucie City Council will try for the third time to sell Tradition Studios. Claiming a breach of contract, the city officially ended any hope of ownership for Jupiter businessman James Hall -- whose $15 million winning bid earned the right to negotiate and purchase Tradition Studios — and agreed to enter the Request for Proposal, or RFP, process to eventually hire brokerage firm and sell the former Digital Domain site. Hall had until 5 p.m. March 30 to submit his $200,000 deposit, but he let it pass after requesting the deposit amount be reduced to $100,000. He also had issue with $15,000 of the deposit being non-refundable. The exact RPF process details were not agreed upon, as the meeting’s close reached 12:30 a.m., but those details will likely be completed at the next meeting after city staff makes
